The Barclays Center isn't exactly built for Hockey. While it may be nicer yeah, it's not exactly gonna have the best views.
- Tsyolin

I assume its built for basketball so if its like the Thrashers was then yeah the corners will suck espcially.

They are fully committed to the rebuild, that would be Garth snoweques giving that much up for a player who would be on the last year of his contract.
- Mentalorgasm5

Id make the move for him at this draft he would have 2 years left. With all of the money left if you could get Kane here in 2015 Kesler would resign here IMO

I assure u,
It will be light years better than what they have now
It really is an AHL quality arena...
Embarrassing

I feel bad for Isles fans...
At least for the young one that can't remember their early80s glory days

Ive heard it was bad but never have been. He should have been fired a long time ago with all his missed picks and just all out bad state of the team should be gone

I've been there. Total dump. That place makes Rochester's arena look like a palace.

Love Kesler...
But his age & recent injuries lead me to say he doesn't really for in with our rebuild
He'll prob be declining by the time we're really competing for the cup

Don't forget guys...
We still gotta figure out a goalie for the future

He's the same age as Callahan. Yet people want to sign him.

50/50 on this part even in a few years with a decline he still can be a shut down center you just elevate the drafted centers and drop kesler down

That's cause he's free!

Went to a few games at the Colosseum. Place is gross. And tiny. Just enforcing what everyone else says.

If we traded for him in a few years and he indeed does fill this role, he'll be a lot cheaper as well.

What does that have to do with him being in decline by the time were ready.

Kesler/Reinhart/Larsson down the middle and Kane on the wing = a pretty good team in 2 years.

Kesler gets banged up because he plays the toughest minutes of any NHL forward.

I've been to hockey games in Cleveland and that arena was built for basketball. Can't say I've had a problem with any of the views and I've been there several times.

If you can get Kesler and/or Cally for free, you do it. Mortgaging your future for a team trying to build for the future isn't the right approach in my eyes. That's the point I'm trying to make. Regardless if they're in decline when we're competing. They'll both be great checking line forwards by that time any way.

There's difference between giving up assets for a guy in that situation and just signing one as a UFA though.

Was a logn time ago but I think with Philips Arena corners were set back and seats werent square up correctly.

IF you want to see terrible site lines for hockey google key arena in seattle.

Thats the premise of my idea. Next year its still a bad team and still in the hunt for McDavid. But a good team in 2 years with Reinhart having a year to learn the NHL game, Girgensons continuing to grow, drafting McDavid and adding Kane.

Not to mention Myers still progressing and Risto being more than a rookie its a much better team assuming the goaltending is figured out

I never sat in the front row in a corner there. Was right behind the Amerks bench once. Sat about 18 rows up behind one of the goals a few times (friend had LE Monsters Seasons there). One or two other random places as well. Never had a problem seeing anything.
