I like Myers
This all somehow turned into how much I wanna get rid of him, which just isn't true
Myers did play tonight as well as top defensemen,
But I wanna see it for longer than a 40game stretch
He looked so good his rookie year and then reverted to just horrible last year
I think he's going in the right direction,
Just don't think it's a sure thing

I disagree with u on O'Reilly vs Bergeron
I think they're close
Bergeron has obviously done it for much longer, but O'Reilly has been very good
And even at a new position this year,
That's impressive

O'Reilly is a year younger than Myers & much more established AND consistent

How is Myers not "established" ?? He's a top pairing defensemen in the NHL... It's pretty obvious watching him play this season.

O'Reilly is no more proven than him. O'Reilly also is playing wing on a stacked Colorado top 6. I highly doubt he comes in and produces like that here.

O'Reilly was good last year when the AVs sucked...
And the year before
And while being asked to play against other teams top lines

I say Myers isn't established bc he was so bad last year
And he wasn't impressive at all the year before that
40 good games this year doesn't erase that for me
He might be on our "top pair"

The Norris trophy winner sat out every game but one for team Canada. I also don't think O'Reilly was sniffing that roster either.

If Myers were on a half way decent team he'd be getting recognition. If O'Reilly were on the Sabres, he'd be just another guy with below average numbers.

Do u guys believe that Myers ceiling is that of Shea Weber?
Because that is what SCOUTS (not me personally) say about Ekblad

Reinhart's ceiling is that of Bergeron, NOT CROSBY, according to scouts
O'Reilly is basically already there
He's established himself as a very good player, at TWO positions

It's one thing if u believe Myers is gonna be good & it's not worth the risk of getting Ekblad...
I can understand your viewpoint
But that doesn't mean Myers has a higher ceiling

U guys act like I'm talking about how I personally grade these guys
Talk to the guys that get paid to do this for a living

If you can find me a player that has endured all of this and remained consistently good with the exception of Miller then maybe I will see your point.

He will be an excellent top line talent. O'Reilly isn't a difference maker. He doesn't have top end skill. O'Reilly is the Drury type player here.

I honestly don't see us getting the top pick in 2015 unless they win the lottery. I see them as 9-10 in the east as moves will be made in the offseason. We will have a semi superstar via trade come the draft.

I can see them sneaking in at 8th in the east if they get descent goaltending from Neuvirth.

a 2 goalie system 50/50 to 60/40 is the way to go for a rebuild and frankly this team was so lost at the start of the season, it's scary to see how well they are playing now with the upper talent moved out of town.

We are seeing Nolan as a the coach that never should have been let go all those years ago.
