Overpaying for Kesler sounds like something out of Washingtons playbook.

The edmonton comparison is not even close.

I don't know why everyone's so bent about Edmonton. Their drafting at 1st overall isn't their problem. It's their drafting everywhere else. It's picks like Paajarvi and Gagner that have (frank)ed them over.

I see that too. I wouldn't risk a shot at McDavid/Eichel, but if we get Reinhart this year and can move for Kesler, it wouldn't be bad to have a guy signed to help Reinhart and McDavid (all things working out to plan).

Just that I wouldn't take him off the table if it was for the right deal
For O'Reilly,
The trade I frequently proposed was Ehrhoff + Ennis

And it's a completely different thing to trade a young player for young player

In the case of Kesler,
We'd give up young players/picks
Then if we couldn't sign him (likely IMO), have to trade him for prospects/picks, and prob for less of a return than what we have up for him

All that does is sets back the rebuild

(I did say Myers for Ekblad, maybe that's what u were thinking)

I'm excited that we might be able to get ekblad and Reinhart, cause it sounds like snow is keeping 2015.
