Much higher odds of getting a Kevin Marshall in the 2nd round than a PK Subban, unfortunately.
- Feanor

I'd take a chance on Dysin Mayo

I've read good things about Joel Armia, and Zadorov and Ristlainen are drawing good reviews, aren't they?

Agreed on the Flyers -- I've said it before, but when those boys draft forwards in the first round, they usually hit, and hit big.

- AllInForFlyers

Armia's had really tough luck with injuries... development is really off track.

Grigorenko looks questionable, too.

Zadorov looks fantastic. Risto, I dunno.

Remember when he had promise?
- PhillySportsGuy

He might, repeat, MIGHT, still have some. He's got 11 goals now, playing fewer than 13 minutes a game.

He might have a little left to do -- Tortorella needs to do what Mike Keenan would do: Play him 25 minutes, so he'd know whether Kassian could do it or not.

Keenan...he got it out of Mike Knuble, Joe Thornton, Glen Murray in Boston. He said that expressly about Thornton, that he was going to play him until he dropped, so everyone knew what he was or wasn't.

He had much more promise than Nodl. Most envisioned Nodl with the upside of a 3rd liner.

Kassian was supposed to be a top 6 power forward. He's a 4th liner.

- PhillySportsGuy

I am referring to him as overrated, or what he turned out o be.

Centerpiece of the Hogdson trade I believe.

Supposed to be Todd Bertuzzi pre Moore... turned out to be Tostito part II.

He's very good. Once he returned to London, they took off. He's averaging a point per game and is a very strong defensive player. He seems to have embraced the NA game and has worked hard to improve his english. Within a year, he's gone from speaking hardly any english to being able to communicate with coaches and understand them for the most part.

I was just looking through the Flyers draft history. They haven't had a lot of luck drafting in the 2nd round.

Here's a fun question. Who was the worst Draft pick in Flyers history?

- MJL

Probably that falloon character?

I don't really remember anything before the 2003 draft but I know he was a pretty high pick right?

He's really been a disaster for them. That's textbook as to why you don't rush guys.

He hasn't earned it. They have a number of injuries to their forwards. At least one Sedin has been out almost all season.

Coaches know and can see in practice. He's just not going to be that physical goal scorer.

Flyers traded for him. He was drafted by San Jose I believe.

Ha! "Fat Balloon" was actually a San Jose pick who got traded here. He wasn't good, but he escapes that category.

Yup. Neither of those guys have really panned. Hodgson is really being asked to do way too much.

Be careful, now -- Fonzie didn't get it out of Chris Kreider, either. I wouldn't bet my job on Fonzie getting a young player to be great, and he's the same age as Brayden Schenn.

San Jose picked him. After Lindros and before Scott Niedermayer

Flyers worst pick is probably Ryan Sittler, which is largely due to injuries. 7th overall in 1992, never made the NHL.

Kreider has only played 79 total games. 23 Last season and a good playoff run the year before.

Kassian has played 141 games and shown very little improvement.

Krieder was 21 and played 23 games under Tortorella.

Everybody know the worst ever was Morin over Pulock, or Laughton over Maatta

Yeah, but the reason he only played 23 last year was because Fonzie was killing his career.

Kreider's confidence was reportedly shattered from playing under Tortorella -- couldn't figure out what he wanted him to do.

That's who I was going to go with. Then in the same draft, they drafted Jason Bowen with the 15th pick. At least he played for the Flyers for a bit.

But Kassian didn't do much with AV last season. Kreider is having a good year under AV
