We have already discussed that he will be useless as a bottom 6 (small, can't PK), so after Buffalo, where does he go? Europe.. exactly as I stated.

Either that, or he will be an NHL journeyman, playing for the bottom-feeders his whole career.

Also, my opinion of him has never changed. At the time, I said the deal was terrible.

Of course Anahiem wants Spezza.

And Ottawa wants some of the assets back from last year's trade including the #1 pick, Silfverberg and perhaps Emerson Etem.

Iam not sold on him being a player we need back ,yeah he was good positionally and could snipe a few goals .But he wasnt very fast or physical at all ,skill i feel we have, grit ,speed and desire is what we lack

if a 39 year old st louis fetched callahan, a 1st and 2nd (possibly 2 1sts), then i want way more then what you suggested for spezza

I don't get it. He hasn't blown me away, but he's 6th on the team in scoring, 5th in points per 60 at 5 on 5, and has good possession numbers.

Not sure Hemsky is what we need as he is a distribution type player, but it didn't cost much to get him. With Edmonton retaining salary, I could Murray brining in another player in the next few hours.

Never been a Hemsky fan. His durability and intensity levels are big red flags for me. The price makes it worth bringing him though. Too bad he burned us last night though.
