Which is another why a would of been in on him.....I understand that he isnt the greatest player, but he is a good low cost rental who can put the puck in the net and gives you a little more depth up front

Glad that the Rags held tough on not signing Ryan Callahan for ridiculous term and dollars. Yeah, they gave up a lot, with regard to picks. But St. Louis being off the books after next season gives them cap room, and players will always want to go to NYC
- AllInForFlyers

yea but those picks also... i'd be furious

Where's he going to play, though? Who's he going to knock off the PP? If he isn't on a strong scoring line and getting PP minutes, we're just recreating the conditions he was under in EDM.

Actually I love talking hockey with rational fans from other teams...my old hockey team half the people on it were from Pittsburgh and were big Pens fans, but they were so honest and cool about it....Always loved talking hockey with them at the bar after the game

Bob McKenzie RT'd a possible deal between Buffalo & LA, with Brayden McNabb headed to LA and 2 prospects(one of who seems to be Hudson Fasching) headed to the Sabres

Trust me: I get it. First-round picks are nothing to be throwing away. And Martin St. Louis is EFFING OLD.

But at the same time, you're the freaking Rangers. Rick Nash chose you. It was Philadelphia or New York, when Shea Weber was deciding. So on and so forth, from Mark Messier and Brad Richards and whoever else.

It doesn't always work. But sometimes it does, and as I always say, it's better to be the New York Rangers than the Florida Panthers.

So...how do we get Kesler AND Edler done? They each have a $5MM cap hit.
Would B.Schenn, Mez, Cobie, and a 1st get it done? Do you add Laughton and drop the pick by a round or two? Does Vancouver balk at that? Would we rather send the Schenn bros and keep Cobie? Hmmm .....

He is struggling no doubt
He did energize that line for a couple of weeks before he got hurt

But max wasnt doing much either

Downie is off their cap this season so they get some space for other things

- Marc D

Yup. If he's re-signed, it will be a travesty.

I don't see how the Flyers can get both without being on the losing end of the deal.

There's a report out there from Vancouver that the team's ownership doesn't want to move Kesler until the summer, because while the season looks lost -- and it probably is -- they're still only two points out and playoff revenue matters

Grossmann seems like a good fit for San Jose. You even talked about their need for a crease clearer. They have the possession guys on D to help offset his poor puck handling.
