Does Ruhwedel get moved today as well?
I think so.

He made one move barely more than a Darcy stamp so far
- hafgod

You make it sound like he traded a 7th d-man for a 4th rounder. He moved the franchise goalie for multiple assets I'd say so far that's the biggest trade in the league.

Doubtful, the market for him will be weak. Better off keeping him.

Stash, one question. Did you honestly think the sabres want Kessler. We are in full bow up mode. Statements like this make me cringe and vomit thinking of darcy
- Buffalo1000

If there's a team that doesn't want Kesler, then they're insane.

My point still stands, he doesn't carry much value right now. If the sabres are looking to package players together to get the other side to sweeten the deal it won't be Ruhwedel, it'll probably be a guy like McNabb or perhaps Pysyk depending on the return they seek.

39 points in 61 games. I really think his best years are behind him. His offensive abilities are overrated because of his one 40 goal season and his slew of injuries the past few years haven't helped.

I'm sure there are GM's out there who will be hesitant to pay the price the nucks want for a guy who carries some risk.

IMO, Van is asking way too much for him. Top 6 Center, top prospect, and a 1st rd pick. Why would someone trade a top 6 center for Kesler? IMO that is a lateral move.

Although with Jordan Stall allegedly being on the block, can a deal be worked out there involving Kesler and Staal.

That's precisely why I think it isn't insane that teams wouldn't want him. Maybe before the injury troubles and the offensive struggles but not now.

Absolutely. Nobody wants guys like Luke Adam or Phil Varone. We were able to package Paul Byron for a good return but that guy isn't in charge anymore.

Ryan was a huge part of this community and the fight against cancer.
He is an outstanding human being.

I wonder if Murray will take a serious look at Brett Connolly. Never really got a fair shot in Tampa, could work out here.

Regier was the last of a long line of corporate liners in Buffalo sports history. Wade Philips, Richard Jauron, Chan Gailey, Darcy, etc. etc... I got so sick of hearing ALL of them spew out the corporate gibberish.

Call a spade a spade for Christ's sake !

Happy Christmas morning!!!! Under Darcy Christmas morning was always filled of disappointment (socks and clothes as presents). Today just feels different. Maybe we finally get that hot new toy for a change and we don't have to fake our smiles!! Happy trading Tim!!!!

I wouldn't expect to see any changes to the guys currently in Rochester to be honest. Murray likes what they have going on there and doesn't want to mess with it too much. He already said that they will not be dismantling that team.

If one guy gets moved, that's probably all you'll see.

Agreed . That's why I think if we get any more picks they would be 1st rounders . More likely to get NHL ready players for players. What is are current contract limit ? I think we are pretty much at it no.

Don't you guys want Stewart?
- OGAR91

I personally don't think he helps ottawa, at least not at the price of a good prospect and good pick, but that's just me.

the only 2 players that i'd like murray (our murray) to target from your team is ehrhoff or myers. i think the other players are good, just don't make sense for ottawa.

that being said, i think a deal for myers or ehrhoff would be better made in the offseason.

that being said, i'm sure murry (our murray) will do something stupid today, and get forward that ottawa doesnt' need

I'm not sure, I hope he focuses on the ufa's first. We can always move Hoff or Stewart at the draft or in the offseason. I think with all the goalies moved it will be hard to find a team for Halak. I think if anyone was to be moved today it would be moulson.

The contract limit is 50. I don't think that counts for the guys that are signed strictly to AHL deals though (I think Gillies is one of those). I have no idea how many we have currently.

A team can have up to 100 players in it's organization (again, the AHL only guys probably don't count toward this).

If they do move anyone from Rochester, it'll be to get someone they feel is better that will finish out the season there and make the jump to the NHL next year. I could be completely wrong though. Just seems to be the way they want to do things from what Murray has said.

A team may be looking for depth and may ask for a player like Ruhwedel to help complete a deal.
Same could be said for Mcnabb but Pysyk is in a separate group.

I wouldn't get too excited. I think he'll do a little more unloading for some picks and depth players/prospects.
