Its funny I haven't been a Stafford fan but under Nolan this guys finally playing up as good as he should be.Wouldnt surprise me to see him moved.Hate to think how Nolan would take it losing another favorite player. - buffalo 1
Nolan should not have signed on knowing this was going to happen.
Everyone saw this coming, if Nolan does not like it, see ya later. |

The enviroment in which you live for the most part will dictate how you are more often than not. I myself have been pigeonholed recently - hubie
That's an excuse and crutch.
You are your own person.
I'm tired of excuses.
Perhaps having 6 children and hearing every excuse in the book of excuses has made me callous.
Not sure.
I just know everyone has the capability to make their own decisions.
Enough with the excuses please. |

I'm tired of the excuses.
Rich kids sport or not a rich kids sport.
It doesn't matter.
We are all individuals built to make choices.
Some always like to make the wrong choices.
It's just that simple.
I'm tired of hearing that I came from 'the hood' as an excuse.
So did I.
I made the right choices.

So what Stafford for Brodziak and a pick (conditional 2nd) - ImThatGuy
I like this a lot. Both Stafford and Brodziak have one year left on their deals, looks like a hockey trade to help both teams. |

Haha, I'm 47 years old with 6 children (3 boys 3 girls) and my youngest is going to be 15.
Care to reassess?
Funniest thing I have read thus far today.
Thank you for the laugh however.
I've seen it all Jerry.
I've been around the block and I've been behind the woodshed.
I just don't buy the Bills lies anymore.
That's your choice if you wish to continue to.
They have to earn my loyalty back for me to even think about spending one cent on them any longer. - BuffaloHardHat
From the Great Talents Mick Jones & Joe Strummer:
On my own, I faced a gang of jeering in strange streets
When my nerves were pumping and I
Fought my fear in, I did not run
I was not done
I've been beat up, I've been thrown out
But I'm not down, no I'm not down
I've been shown up, but I've grown up
And I'm not down, no I'm not down
So you walk around and think that you're the toughest
In the world, the whole wide world
But you're streets away from where it gets the roughest
And I've been there ...

Nobody's defending those people, though. The thing is, if more of "those people" played hockey, the sport would have just as much of a problem with it as the NFL does. |

Don't count on it. Just reported on WGR that Murray said he'll most likely only be trading UFA's.

He's had plenty of time to bring up his game. All of a sudden he's coming on in the last few months and becoming a commodity? Assuming Nolan is the reason behind his improvement, I'm guessing Nolan won't be here to carry his weight going forward anyway
No thanks-
Move him
Move Stewart who is going to be another scab on this squad.
If the trade is right, move Myers too

Where hockey really excels is that they have stops before your in the top league. Kid gos to Jr.s and learns to be a pro at a young age.
In football if your a star your basically a god as a jr in hs. Given full ride to college than onto the NFL. Football players are given no "help" in overcoming what will happen in their lives at the next level. Ive heard too many stories of football players going broke |

All else being equal, if its a choice between Stewart and Staff, I'd prefer to keep Staff. He has at least shown signs of wanting to play for this team. Stewart looked completely uninterested, and far beyond anything attributable to lack of familiarity with the team/"system."
I would ship out whoever brings the higher return, however. |

Nobody's disagreeing with that.
But we're talking about what sport they play, not what life choices they make. When a lot of those people making those choices are from the same demographic, and the vast majority that demographic also happens to be playing only one or two of the sports in question, it becomes a very biased sample. The point is, as hockey's popularity grows, you're going to get more people from that demographic playing, and then the sport will start to see the same problems if everything else remains equal. |

Marty Biron just gave the Blues only a 30% chance to win the cup because he thinks it might take Miller a while to get used to only facing 20 shots a night. |
