Make no mistake. Hockey has its bumholes too. It just doesn't have anywhere near the media coverage. It's not as bad as the NFL, but a lot of that can be contributed to the fact that hockey has been, and still is, mostly a "rich kid" sport. For most of these guys in the NFL you're talking about, hockey wasn't available to them growing up. If the sport ever becomes as popular as we hope, it's going to have its share of thugs as well. It's simply the law of averages.

I dont want to sterotype but if a hockey player came out of South Central LA, Id bet a nickel he may have a run in with the law.

Think of this a hockey player will pay more money in hockey sticks than a football kid will pay for equipment his whole life.

Its funny I haven't been a Stafford fan but under Nolan this guys finally playing up as good as he should be.Wouldnt surprise me to see him moved.Hate to think how Nolan would take it losing another favorite player.

Nobody's using it as an excuse. Everyone that has its run-ins with the law or anyone else does so out of their own fault. However, to ignore the fact that hockey has a much smaller sample size as far as backgrounds go, is very short-sighted.

You need some sort of payroll and talent next season. Stafford should stay and we should move him as a rental next year IMO
