You guys should read the Isles board. I checked it out. They are blasting A Mac. They seem to think he is a 5/6 defenseman on a good team. I dont know a ton about him but that doesnt seem right...

not to generalize, but im sure there is a good deal of scorned woman syndrome going on there. a guy who was supposedly one of your stalwarts yet again doesnt want to anchor to the ship

A certain banned someone sent this to you didn't they?

I like that lineup too. It puts together some familiar faces with each other.

Isles fans can't be happy. They have a bad captain at the helm and the ship is taking on water. Not good.

They said the same thing about Streit. He's a turnover machine and horrible defensively.

Streit hasn't been a defensive stud, but he's been alright in his own end and good offensively.

They also blasted Streit once they realized he wasnt going to re-sign.

I think it will take Pouliot to get him. Despres, Sutter and late first isn't good enough. None of those players have much potential.

i dont know if its just blind homerism at this point or what, but i still am a big believer in despres. no, hes not the next weber. but i still think given enough time to play through growing pains, he will be a solid top 4 guy for someone.

Well, Edler is a significantly better player.

And what the Hell is up with that beard on Gillis?

I don't think Gillis moves Kesler before the deadline. Trading Kesler to the Pens offer leaves his team with Sutter and Matthias as the #2 and #3 centers. Nice grit, but limited skill level. The first is going to be late and who knows if any of the d prospects rumored will pan out. They throw Kesler overboard now, they are telling their fan base they are in full rebuild mode. I'm not sure I would agree that the Canucks roster needs that much of an overhaul to be competitive.

i think they need to decide what they want to do, and stick with it. dont pull a flames and wait too long to start an eventual rebuild. if you want to make a run of it with this core, then you need to bring in current talent that will help. if you want to move out assets while they still have prime value (whether the pens are involved or not) you should strike while you can. stagnation is death in todays game.

that being said, i agree with you haha i dont think he goes anywhere.
