if they get a pick back for Mez there's no need to rush out and sign McDonald, imo.

Despite MacDonald's horrific advanced stats, but I do know he's got decent wheels and quite honestly, I have only seen MacDonald play the games against the Flyers & the Yankee Stadium game vs the Rangers.

I'm not a fan of the price paid, but he'll add needed mobility and will probably benefit from fewer minutes.

You sound like a father meeting his daughter's biker boyfriend for the first time and trying to be polite. It can't be as bad as it looks on the surface, there must be something she see's in him.

Unless the guy plays well and is resigned before hitting FA it will be an overpayment. If he plays well and leaves via UFA then the flyers lost. If he doesn't play well, nothing more needs to be said.

I don't have enough knowledge of the guy to really say if it's good or not. I know what other have said, I know what the stats say...i just want to see him play where I'm specifically watching him.

But he wouldn't swallow his pride, he gives up a goalie who led the league in shutouts last year, so he could make the same deal that was always going to be there -- except you almost had to take a goalie back.

Unbelievable how bad that is. It's the worst sequence of management I've seen in years, ever since Milbury drafted Rick DiPetro so he had to move Luongo!
