maybe should have used another besides "gased". Just last 2 games weren't his strongest. Can see Reimer defiantly drawing in tonight - lotempio8119

The Islanders game he didn't sound like he played well, it was the only game I've missed this season. The MTL game I'm pretty sure he didn't see the first 3 goals that went in, the defense is so brutal in front of the guy. But if the Leafs want to win you're right he needs to return to form. I still give him tonight's start though if I'm RC. If he poops the bed tonight then insert Reimer the next game. |

Last game against the CBJ I had all my beer lined up and figured we would walk them as they had 10 starters out...or something like that and then they fed us |

Can someone explain the Bernier is gased thing to me? He was solid all the way up to the Olympic break, got a three week break and he's gased? How is someone gased after such a break, I've seen it on here a few times sorry had to respond to yours. - iTOLDu
I believe its should be termed - mentally "gassed"
This year is JB's first true test of being a starter - possibly experiencing some nerves
He had 3 weeks to think and think and then think again about carrying the team on his shoulders and into the playoffs -
before the break - he was playing constantly and didnt have to think - just play - and play well he did

I don't get where the D was bad against Montreal?
The 1st 2 goals were deflections -
THE LEAFS WILL BE FINE ( it would be nice if we could make 1 more trade for a good D though ) |

Should be, "STOP sniffing the gas, and stop letting in the stupid goals that kept in the backup role in LA " |

I agree, however, even if Bernier plays well, we should give Reimer a game soon. Keep him warm |

ah, he's had a couple stinkers...Islanders was a mix up between him and Rielly but I thought he bounced back against the Habs and played the puck well all night.
If we keep playing like we did against the Isle/Hab it will come...played better just had a couple bounces go in on us. |

Because the D collapses right in front of him. They were far less than impressive against Montreal. |

ya and they sent him to the marlies for yesterdays game but he was a healthy scratch, so presumably he will play tonight since bolland is still out, but he hasnt been recalled yet |

that's not the D's fault, that's the style the team plays.

maybe we could scoop up Daley who will be returning from injury mid March
37 years old, maybe get him for a reasonable price. |

If the defense is playing that way then they need to be man on man, that's on the defense. There is way to much open down low for that "style" of defense. The D gets caught running or collapsing too far, that's where the problem is. |
