Jbo was great until he got to Calgary. To me 7 million is too much for phaneuf. I like him, but I would like him more a 6 million and playing in the number two spot.
But as you are about to point out, we have no one right now to play the number one spot.
He simply plays too many minutes - Fakepartofme

Please Get Daley right now. And who ever the (frank) said that Clarkson needs to be on the second line can just (frank) off. I watched him all game and he sucks Richard. He is worth 2 mil maybe. Bodie can do the exact same thing as him for about 4 mil less. Put him on the 3rd line where he belongs. Huh I have another idea for Nonuts how about we give Bolland 5 mil for 8 years and Komarov 4 mil for 7 years lets resign extend Lupul till he's 50, pay Franson #1 D money. And Nonis is pretty good at drafting 4th liners in the first round so how about we give McLement 8 years and then get Biggs on that line too. (frank)ing Bulpoop. Nonis is a (frank)ing disgrace. Like what the (frank) are the Leafs even going to make the playoffs. If they do the other team will just shut down the #1 line and we will be (frank)ed. Oh and one more idea how about we go get O'Bryne. That's Nonis's idea of a blockbuster trade. Sorry but I am so pissed. - BoTtLePoLiCe
Clarkson is the number 1/2 d man we covet. That is the saddest truth of all... |

Yeah he would actually. I don't like him either. Our better players get the worst of it though, compared to Richards like Franson and Gunnar |

If we can run Murphy out of town we can do anything lol. People used to call into the radio shows and trash Sundin on a nightly basis even. I'm glad Kessel has been spared that BS so far. |

I tried to hang in there with Clarkson, but damn, it's tough.
At this point, our only hope is that he could return to form playing with Kessel (kind of like how he was with Kovalchuk) and that JVR has matured enough to carry his own second line.
We could have retained both MacA and Komarov and had money left over to play with. I don't think you'd find anybody in the world who says Clarkson has brought more than either of those guys, let alone both combined. |

Raymond is gone. He'll get a salary the LEafs simply can't match with all the other guys they have to re-up... I'm guessing 3.5 plus on the open market. |

Macca wouldn't make a difference though. When the team is rolling so was he. He isn't a player that would change the tide as it were |

Not through lack of effort. The first two years he got poop on quite a bit (not by everyone) |

Move Lupul at the deadline.
He's one injury away from being the worst contract in hockey. |

I helped with that.
Lol not really though. I directed all my hate towards the trade itself rather than the player I think. |

Clarkson would be perfect at like $3M or less on a short term deal imo. I like his game. I hate his contract. |

I really hope Nonis sticks to what he says about not overpaying for rentals...we're not a player or two away. Try to fix the defence over the summer via trades and don't overpay in free agency (almost never works out, save for the CuJo signing years ago). Hopefully, we make the playoffs and squeak into the second round. Build on that for next year.
