you dont understand..
when phaneuf fights he yells at the guy.. the guy steps back because he hears that high pitched little whine and thinks he accidentially bagged phaneuf..
then .. when the guys guard is down.. phaneuf owns him for a second or two |

Still a little confused here though... was it that hard to trade Orr to the flames and just keep mclaren? even if it was for a low draft pick.... - DougGilmour_93
They dont need him...no sense in bringing in a guy like Orr to the Flames. They have McGrattan for that role. Westgarth as the McLaren role, despite recently being injured. |

i think its just a little too early to compare the two.. right now.. price wins out.. plain and simple.. in 3 or 4 years?
who knows.. once/if bernier truly adapts to being a starter he may very well end up being the better player.
as of right now tho, price is far more accomplished, he does however, have experience in his corner. bernier.. not so much. - Dozzer

He has a back made of string cheese, no thanks, too much of an injury risk, we already have ours. - LeafMan
I've given up on caring about people who get injured. It happens too often on the leafs. And we always end up playing better. |

He should be like all the other NHL captains that fight, like Zetterberg, Getzlaf, Staal, Toews, Landeskog, Koivu, Gionta, Tavares, Spezza, Giroux, Crosby, Thornton, St.Louis, Sedin, Salvador, Jovanovski and Oveckhin. The more infuriating aspect is i cannot possible see what could go wrong rolling Franson, Gardiner, Gunnar, Gleason, Ranger and Rielly while Dion recuperates from being knocked out. If that D doesn't scare the living daylights out of the Bruins, i have no idea what will. |

not one single regular season he wasnt in half the games
not one
not saying price was the second coming of christ when it came to netminding.. just saying that comparing his career to how bernier's has went and calling them similar is just simply untrue. |

I didn't know if he ever played the role of #1 in L.A.
Price took the #1 from Huet almost right away and has never looked back. Even during the halak/price nonsense he was always our #1. - hunglikeapuck
Never looked back is an absolutely stupid statement, when he lost his job down the stretch and watched the last 20 games, along with most of the playoffs, from the bench.
That is most definitely looking back.
And the only reason he wasn't looking back after that was they traded his competition away. |

Price was starter on team Canada. Bernier wasn't. That's the biggest indicator anyone needs. Saying anyone could have played and we won doesn't matter, we still put Canada's best goalie in (as much as I hate admitting Montreal has something good).
If you think bernie is even close go watch Price some more.
Bernie is a good goalie, middle of the game starter, but price is elite. |

He started less than half. Just because he played a couple of half games in relief to bring it up to half doesn't mean squat. |
