As I said hard to compare, Habs traded away Price's competition and LA didn't. I do believe Price is better, but he wasn't the greatest when he came in, glove problems - I watched lots of Hab games back then I used to always bug my buddy about Prices catching blocker (frank)er couldn't catch to save his life it seemed - Garnie
ahhhh.. okay.. well if LA would of traded away the competition it would of been bernier being moved
in this scenario bernier is more halak than price. |

one of two things need to happen.
1: RC needs to adjust his philosphy for the players he has
or
2: Nonis needs to start moving guys out who simply are playing outside of their skill sets to try and play in RCs systems. Bring in guys who compliment the system. - Dozzer
This.
There's a disconnect between what the two are trying to do. |

i think its just a little too early to compare the two.. right now.. price wins out.. plain and simple.. in 3 or 4 years?
who knows.. once/if bernier truly adapts to being a starter he may very well end up being the better player.
as of right now tho, price is far more accomplished, he does however, have experience in his corner. bernier.. not so much. |

truculence coming your way buddy.. only a matter of time - Dozzer
though I could see some interest in McLaren from Burkie...thats about it when it comes to "fighters". Burke will make at least one interesting move come Wednesday, you all watch ...and my guess is that it (doesnt) involve Cammalleri.
Hudler, Russell, or Wideman. |

Please, for the love of all that is holy, don't make me have to write about that!
Edit: twice! - Colin Dambrauskas
Still a little confused here though... was it that hard to trade Orr to the flames and just keep mclaren? even if it was for a low draft pick.... |

Cammalleri will be interesting when it comes the summer, he may be interested in signing here |

A deal isn't imminent, but Ottawa is exploring the market on Jason Spezza, who has a NTC. Talent-for-talent, if moved http://www.thefourthperiod.com/news/ott140303.html … - faceto27
If this is true, Kadri/Franson/ + whatever the (frank) they want.
I play with this guy at chesswood arena in the summer. He's massive on skates. The forward we need.
Then all we need to concentrate on is a defenseman and we're golden. |

its really very simple.. Nonis is cautious.. he puts value on his assets and doesnt want to lose a deal.. what i dont think he really does is factor in whats best for the coach's philosophy.
he just strikes me as a tad hesitant is all. |

Jonathan Bernier is a very good goaltender.
He's a bit on the small side at 5"11 (could have sworn he was smaller than that) and that's a considerable disadvantage against deflected shots but he's very talented. - Scabeh
I know, I have seen him play. If he could stop letting in the softies, he would be very good. |

He has a back made of string cheese, no thanks, too much of an injury risk, we already have ours. |

yeah.. halak was the better of the two that year.. no doubt about it..
i just saw someone trying to argue that bernier and price had similar roles early in their career and thats simply not even close to being true.
in 4 seasons with the kings bernier got into 55 games
price eclipsed that before christmas in his second season. - Dozzer

So when we send Orr to the flames, we will have Gleason, Clarkson, some AHL guy (bodie, devane, broll, ashton), and phaneuf all capable of fighting - DougGilmour_93

In a keeper's league where points are the only thing that matter.
Would you do
Sedin and Kesler for Spezza and Mcdonagh? |
