how is henrique for kesler a lateral move? henrique is garbage and...wait for....OVERPAID. you guys are paying 10M for zajac and henrique, kesler is better than both of them combined for like half the price.

I think 30 GM's would take Kesler over Zajac, they could play similar styles(though I don't think Zajac is as strong) but that doesn't mean that they have equal value. Basically adding a 2nd or 3rd rounder to Zajac wouldn't get you Kesler IMO.

For a team like you, that's true, but we aren't ready to go all in for a cup yet. In a bit of flux after Parise and Kovy. Have to take a bit of a step back to develop a core of players. Henrique is an important part of that.

2. zajac's high totals were clearly because he played with parise.
3. zajac's cap hit is 5.75M long term...OVERPAID

just because they are both stronger defensively than offensively doens't mean they are equal. it means that zajac's offense is so bad now that even his defense is better than it. kesler is a top two way forward, not even gillis is dumb enough to trade him for zajac

i guess i shouldn't be surprised, i shouldn't have taken for granted that you would understand why i said you calling zajac = kesler is stupid

He is worth more to the team then he would receive back in a trade. Probably one of the best defensive forwards in the game ( I know I'll get a good amount of laughs from that ) Todd writes about his advanced stats all the time and what he is able to do on a nightly basis .

oh wow 5 years, i guess that means the canucks are better off trading kesler for a draft pick since that will get them an even younger player. kesler's age shouldnt even be mentioned in trade talks, he a great piece for any contender to add.

Zajac has played 530 games and has 305 pts Kesler has played in 639 games and has 389 pts so he has played over 100 games more and has less then 100 more points then him. How on earth are they not similar?
