kessler definitely hurts vanek but i dont think hell be traded, the asking price is insane and if he isnt dealt it could lead to other GMs scrambling to get vanek...

They'll have a great profit line by eliminating SMG's greasy palms. Between their inflating cable contract, marketing, pricey luxury boxes, higher concession shares, the team will be in the best condition financially they've seen since the 1980's.

Wang won't sell. He'll want to recoup some of the millions he's lost over the last decade. I could however see him taking on a partner at some point since I don't think he ever wanted to be the sole owner.

Exactly if Wang does not put out a competitive team on the ice he will continue to lose money. He is not a hockey genius and should have hired people who actually know what they are doing

This may be more the case with Amac than Vanek though as 'value' is only relative to the amount of perspective buyers/market. If only 2-3 teams are legit buyers for Vanek, his value drastically decreases for every minute that passes. Especially when other choices exist like Moulson and Jagr at a likely cheaper price.

The biggest concern should be that if Vanek doesn't go until the 11th hour, it's likely because Snow had to settle for the best offer as opposed to chooising an auction winner.

Streit and AMac pairing on the Flyers? How long will it take before Flyer fans are begging us to take Amac back? It took about 1/3 of the season before they realized what they got in Mark Streit.
