haha you know i have a point though. this is when you have to get in on potentially getting a good young defender. once they hit their potential, then youre looking at guys that the flyers cant stomach parting with. have to risk it or concede paying the full freight for an established product.

I would like to see Gustafsson get more playing time, and I've advocated that many times. But with the way Meszaros is playing, I don't think that I would play Gustafsson over Meszaros right now. I don't feel that Gustafsson is better with the puck then Meszaros is. And Meszaros is supplying much needed offense from the back end. And Gustafsson is not going to play over Schenn or Grossmann. Especially with the amount of penalties that the Flyers take. Schenn and Grossmann are key players on the Flyers 7th ranked penalty kill. The Flyers don't win the last two games without a strong penalty kill.

But for us, it's opening a hole to MAYBE close another. And the one we opened ain't easy to fill

true. but i still maintain in todays league its pretty damn hard to fill a hole without at least using some dirt taken from somewhere else in the yard. and the Dman hole to fill is a hell of a lot harder to fill than the one read represents
