i may be being a tad biased, and i will admit that his handling hasnt done his trade value any favors, but i do think that extended time with despres seeing good ice would show that trade to be surprisingly fair.

I don't disagree...but you don't buy undervalued stocks for what they might be worth

It was brutal. Ovie was behind the net and left the puck. I guess he thought the defenseman was coming and Couturier grabbed it and fed Hall in the slot. Ovechkin made it worse because after the turnover, he did nothing to pick up anybody.

Wasn't that long ago the media (and a lot of fans too) were debating whether he or Crosby was the best in the league.

it's ok he's superstar he doesn't need to play defense funny enough the caps lose by 1 goal

i dont blame you. but if he starts to cash in, matt read wont get it done! you know the ridiculous price on defenders. this is your chance to get in on the ground floor.

I love watching the guy play but, yeah, I can think of a lot of other players I'd rather have.

Edit to add that ,dale hunter seemed to get the best out of him. Too bad for the caps he didn't want to stay and coach in the NHL.

Very true. Crosby has worked his ass off to get better all around, while Ovechkin has basically regressed. When he first came along he was physical, worked on defense, scored a ton of goals and tried to be an all around guy.

Now...he's really become a one dimensional guy. Still a deadly goal scorer, but he's not in the conversation, IMO, with guys like Crosby or Toews or Datsyuk

do the opposite of what the big guys say
for example goldman sachs was telling everyone to sell gold early this year and if you looked at their books they were buying gold while telling others to sell
what do you know i'm up over 100% on some gold stocks

I don't even pay close attention to that sort of stuff. My money is very conservatively invested. A lot of it is in my mattress

haha you know i have a point though. this is when you have to get in on potentially getting a good young defender. once they hit their potential, then youre looking at guys that the flyers cant stomach parting with. have to risk it or concede paying the full freight for an established product.
