The Blues already won the Cup earlier this weekend, so they don't need to worry about defensive effort.
- prd797

This is true, but I keep forgetting! I reminded myself today that the Hawks beat Quick last year; Miller isn't as good as him, so he can be beat. And I continue to believe that Ott and Stewart were swapped to make the cap work for STL - I don't think Ott is as good as Stewart any longer.

Where is he on the "Regin Scale"? Better, worse, about the same?

*sigh* One play D, the other plays F. However, you apparently are looking for more.

First. Player are usually on waivers to either be released or sent to the minors. That is neither here nor there except for the prime conditions I look at.

Second. The conditions I look for a twofold. Is there an injury related reason for this move. In this case. No.
Is there a wealth of depth at said position for which the player being waived plays. Again, in this case, no.. not really. The Canadiens could use help on D.

Therefore, while the mentioned player has some value, IMESHO, that value is akin to taking a single can to the recycling center.

I hope this reply satisfies your curiosity in regards to this manner. If not,

(frank) you, okay?

Boy, how times change:

Just a year ago, we were referring to Saad as Jesus.

Now it's Ogi?

Need a scorecard to tell the characters apart.

Who do we think is getting the wild card spots in the West? Jets are scorching hot.
- rollpards19

I think the Wild have a good chance, too, if they can pick up a goalie.

I think if the Nucks deal Kesler, you can count them out.

Could see any one of the Jets, Wild, Yotes or even the Stars ending up in those spots. Anyone of those teams are capable of going on a tear.

Jets are hot now, but will they be that way in a few weeks? They've faded down the stretch several years in a row now, maybe Maurice is what puts them over the top?

I think Van is sunk.

Even if they don't deal Kesler, they are done. They really suck. A lot.

They are the new Calgary Flames, but with 8000X the drama.

And don't look now, but they took a dump on Luongo again.
