Had an absolute blast at the game tonight... Kudos to the Pens fans. Classy bunch. Froze my richard off, but it was worth it. Great win!

FYI Rollie. That was game 1. Is not my problem if Regin sucks and can't get in the line up. - Elbows15
They play like that every game and you can make your avatar Nathan MacKinnon wearing a Lehigh jersey for all I care. |

Toews any day...Toews/Datsyuk would be the tougher call IMO. - Ogilthorpe2
Tougher, but still Toews mostly due to age. If they were the same age, it's a coin flip.

Not bad on the tipsy front. It seems on the outside like the injuries are really taking a bite - as they should given the players involved. It also seems like a transition period from older stars to the young kids.
I'd like to see them make a run in the East. The Hawks pretty much used the Wings as a blueprint, and I like the style of play, so much respect to the Wings from me. - mohel
Maybe it will take more time, but the Hawks don't seem to be as successful at developing a continuing supply of farm-fresh replacements.
Wings haven't had many high draft picks recently either. |

With Q and his code talk, how long you expect Hossa out?2-3 weeks?
You think they call up Morin or Pirri since Hoss will be out? |

Crawford = Howard in my opinion. Both are good throughout regular season and above good to awesome in the playoffs until a fairly crucial game. Both are overpaid and overhyped. - YzermanIsTheMan
I agree about Crawford, BUT think he actually performs in crucial games (and/or the Hawks protect him better): games 4-5-67 against Van in 2011, games 5-6-7 against Detroit last year, games 4-5-6 against Boston - pretty good. |

I'd say Morin because he's a wing, and because he's been lighting the lamp lately down on the farm. If it is only a few games, maybe Zues and Regin will both play instead. |

Yeah, I think when the Hawks drafted him they really didn't have any idea if he'd ever come over here to play. |

or Jack Skille at 7. Both bad but that might be worse esp with Kopitar going to LA 4 picks later. Overall though, think the recent draft history is more than pretty good. |

Nester would never survive that.
But - who would play wing?
I'd rather Morin come up - maybe he still has something he could show Q. |

Good as usual, sir.
Your comment: Fancy wouldn't work outside on a windy and snowy night. The Hawks adjusted, went to the net and controlled the majority of play.
Fancy also often doesn't work inside on calm nites - learn from this. |

All and all Kesler holding the cards it is hard to imagine the canuck rebuild starting with taking a load on low end guys from the pittsburgh to rush a trade now.
If that is what the Pens think will get them Ryan Kesler, a whole lotta other teams need to step because that offer is insulting and does little to help the Canucks...you pony up if you want a true 2nd line centre, this is a return of a 3rd line centre, one of two younger defenders who have proven they couldn't wrest away even third pair NHL jobs, and two picks in a lousy thin draft - so lousy that the first rounder would be like a late second rounder...lots of warts on most players after slots in the mid twenties...Insulting!
When the summer comes teams can plan a deal with Canucks have time to re-arrange their roster and THEN will make an offer.
Now seema the perfect time to drop kesler if he embarassed your team, was YELLING, OUT out out to the press, or he was involved with four of his teammates wives...not now.
I refused to post here and agrue after the Blues sabres deal.
So...the Blues won the Cup already and also started their 2010 hawk summer purge to get Miller resigned...
and Ott's nine goals and toughness should real make the difference five on five for the Blues to waltz in, huh?
too funny

No secret, right? The other night against the Rangers, they finally get to the net and score. Unfortunately they only left themselves 11 seconds to tie it.

Everyone! Initiate the line blender. I'm fine with Morin coming up, but I think it'll will depend on how long Hossa is out. |

There's too much angst over the Blues especially now that they have Miller and the Great Steve Ott the darling of this board.
Not saying the Hawks will or won't repeat but I don't think there is a team right now that they can't beat in a 7 game series including the Ducks and Blues so everyone should get off the ledge especially if other teams are making TDL deals and the Hawks stand pat.

Agree. The one position they need, 2C, likely won't be able to acquire because of the cap. Other than that, think they'll stand pat and be just fine. |

Nordman up to play 4C, Krugman moves up to 3C with Shaw moving to wing, Saad to 1RW...that's if you truly want the "blender", otherwise just call up Morin. |
