Corey is pretty funny. Some of the comments he made about the missing mask were pretty good.

Random drunk question. Who'd you rather have at peak performance, Toews or Zetterberg?
- YzermanIsTheMan

Toews any day...Toews/Datsyuk would be the tougher call IMO.

FYI Rollie. That was game 1. Is not my problem if Regin sucks and can't get in the line up.

Toews by a little. But I have to fully admit to bias in the question. I also see him all the time. Were I a Detroit fan it is entirely possible the answer would be different. I did think that Z handled Toews pretty well in last year's playoff series.

Man.. Hossa - Datsyuk - Kane, Sharp - Toews - Zetterberg. That'd be a (frank)ing lethal top six.

In all honesty, I'd agree. Zetterberg is the best late round draft pick of all time IMO. But Toews is just a little bit better in all aspects.

I agree with Ogi that Dats is a closer call; he's a great player.

Dats is the magic man. I'm so glad we have Zetterberg and Datsyuk. both 170th+ drafted and both top 25 forwards in the league for almost ten years.

Gotta love late drafted or undrafted Swedes. Backstrom was never drafted, Hakan Loob at 181st, Fredik Modin at 64th, Samuelsson at 145th (the first 3/4th of his career, (frank) the rest)

there was a two fold stigma with Swedens players

one, it was largely unscouted and untapped by most teams for a while

two, since they were unknown, they kind of got the Russian stigma that they preferred playing over in their own league and didn't want to come over here

the early birds found a ton of gems late over there

Swedes have worked for Detroit like no other club so far. After the 90s and the Red Army, I wonder what country will be next for DRW.. Nigeria?

Crawford = Howard in my opinion. Both are good throughout regular season and above good to awesome in the playoffs until a fairly crucial game. Both are overpaid and overhyped.
- YzermanIsTheMan

One problem with your assessment...Crawford kinda won the Cup last year, and looked great doing it.

But otherwise...sure Crawford and Howard are the same.
