If I'm speculating right, the Hawks should have about $3.5 million to bring in someone to take a shot at #2C and a 7th d-man. Then there is Teravainen. Who knows if he wins a spot out of camp, or can maybe fill a roster spot come the middle of next season?

I think the consensus here has been that Handzus will be gone at the end of the season. If he's back for next season, then I'll worry. Otherwise, I'm not too terribly worried about this.

I think he'll have somewhat more cap space this summer - also, he knows (a) Handzus is through, and (b) no one (INCLUDING TT) is ready to take over. He'll have to do something.
