Yeah. Let's throw a smurf out there for playoff hockey. On a small rink that he has never played on before. Really can't see them doing that if they think highly of him as indicated. It could ruin the kid,

You adjust. We got Brunette, FFS.

Or, you adjust. We got Turco, FFS.

Or, you adjust. We got Pisani, FFS.

Wow - good game, QA - this could go on for quite some time.

Bowman did it with Kruger in 2011. Who says he won't do it again?

And rockford isn't exactly doing a bang up job developing our golden calves lately...

Kruger had 1 assist in 12 games (7 reg/5 playoff games). Again, not saying it won't happen....wouldn't mind it actually, but how effective will TT be playing N/A hockey this time of year ?

Less pressure on a rookie then: I doubt anyone - even on the Hawks - was looking for a long PO run in 2011.

This year, I'm sure they are.

Well, which kids are you talking about?

Hayes, Pirri and Morin all had questions coming into the season. Hayes got traded and was able to stick on a bad team. Who says Morin isn't too far away from sticking in the NHL?

Stanton was in contention for a job in camp, got waived and has stuck in Vancouver. Olsen was down on the depth chart, probably right behind Stanton. He gets traded and is able to stick on a bad team. Dahlbeck isn't too far away in my opinion. Clendening could be in the mix sometime next season.

Nordstrom could use a little more meat on his bones, but the Hawks had enough faith in him to try him out a couple of times.

McNeill, Danault and Ross, among others are just getting their feet wet in their first pro seasons.

Here's my take on bringing TT over

Rockford basically blows developing talent right now. Let me revise, they blow at taking our highly rated prospects to the next level of development. What's to say if TT goes to rockford, they stunt or hinder his development?

TT is regarded as a high IQ player beyond his age right now, much like kruger was/is, only with much more skill. Kruger was also of similar light frame. Thus far kruger has been a solid nhler and stuck all the way through

TT might click and take off right away, there's always that possibility. Why not throw him into the fire now, coming off a hot year for him both at world jrs and jokerit. Give him a handful of games and evaluate. If he finds awesome chemistry and shows awareness to avoid major contact and smaller ice, keepnhim. If he stalls and looks like a gun shy gopher, you know your answer there too

Who knows? Odds are against him that he'll be able to come in and make a huge difference.

All I'm saying is that you shouldn't be surprised if Bowman actually gives him a look at the end of the season, that's all.

Have you had the Sam Adams Cold Snap yet? As long as you're up, I'll have one of those. If you're out, I'll take a Milk Stout Nitro from Left Hand Brewing.

Indeed. Who knows, Teravainen could surprise. I wouldn't put money on Teravainen ripping it up if he got a shot, but it sure would be a big help if he could step in and do that.

Toews has been hiding behind the offensive production of kane and Hossa. Once they are gone his production is nothing, hes a good defensive player at best. I wouldn't do kesler for toews straight up

You really can't blame the organization for Beach. Beach's problems were entirely on Beach alone.

As for Hayes and Olsen, was anyone really looking at them to develop into real game changing talent in the first place?

Which was my point, which high round picks has rockford really taken to the next level of development in recent years?

I'd welcome TT to the equation. Need to see him on N/A ice for 10 games minimum to say more.

That's your point?

Go back and take a look at the guys who have stuck in the league who have passed through Rockford.

Given where the Hawks have drafted, and some of the guys who have spent time in Rockford, I'd venture to say that they're doing just fine in producing players in Rockford.

Could they have a better head coach in Rockford? Absolutely. But don't knock the likes of Bolland, Crawford, Hjalmarsson, Shaw, Leddy, Stanton, Bollig and Smith, among others who have passed through Rockford on their way to the NHL.
