Bowman said #Blackhawks could bring Teuvo Teravainen over in April but not sure yet. Teravainen could play in world championships instead.

Bowman says they're done trading. Guess everyone can just delete their comments
- erhryck

He always says that just before he flips a pick or a marginal prospect for someone to try out at the #2C spot.

If true, I guess you can scratch Boyes off the Hawks wish list...

With the cap constraints, you know the the front office has been tossing this idea around for a while now...

If that is the case, why let him play in the Worlds?
- Elbows15

not his choice really, Finland has the ultimate say, they've done it before. if they chose him and he says no thanks, they could black list him from international competition for a while

Yeah. Let's throw a smurf out there for playoff hockey. On a small rink that he has never played on before. Really can't see them doing that if they think highly of him as indicated. It could ruin the kid,

With the lack of caproom, what choices are left?

Could be right. I would think a team who will be paying him might have something to say.

I can't say that you're wrong, but if he comes over and can be successful, would you still female dog about it?

That 29 year old, would be fourth on Chicago in goals scored, two behind Hossa and has one of the better contracts in the league with two years remaining.

I would hate to see him go, especially to Chicago but, not only would i instantly become a fan but you guys would absolutely love him, also giving you guys arguably the two best defensive centers in the league.

Why would Chicago not move youth for him? Chicago is already a perennial contender with the core you have now, with Kesler you become a dynasty overnight.

Why not dump some prospects and potentially win another three consecutive cups?
I stand corrected, thanks. I must of thought he was older because he's injured so often. I wouldn't move much more than Bickel, Pirri and a 1st for him. He's not the player you're thinking of from 2011.......The season that he played really well but got injured
Really, there's not much to lose.

Not shocking. They have no cap room for any major move anyway.
- NedsHead_88

They did by moving Stinkell. Hopefully, he's playing the reluctant GM with potential trading partners. Otherwise, we'll likely see both Regin and Zus on the ice come the POs.

Nope, Finland doesn't really have a say, and the Hawks don't really care. He's under contract now, and thus the Hawks control where he goes.

That's why he was loaned to Jokerit this season.

Do you like any player that isn't a Hawk? and if so, who are you a fan of?
- Elbows15

Yeah. Not a ton though. Crosby, Kopitar, Bergeron's probably my favorite non-Hawk. ROR is one of my favorites in the division. Ladd, but that doesn't really count everyone likes him. I know John Moore and Wingels a little bit and they're nice guys. Jamie Benn too. Some others that I can't think of.

Truthfully? I would rather see them roll with what they have. Giving up assets for guys who aren't much of an upgrade than what they currently have is a waste of assets. Hell. I think Nordstrom would be fine up here and not overwhelmed by the moment and they can just juggles the 2C between Shaw, Kruger and Zus.

Longshot as in terms of sucess, but I wouldn't put it past Bowman to try it out if no one can claim the #2C spot.

Let me clarify what I meant

Finland doesn't have any legal or contractual grounds to withhold TT, its more scare tactics of black listing him from international competition if he chooses to skip on worlds if they select him and he isn't even across the pond yet

If he was already over here I think it would be a different scenario

If Bowman feels desperate enough to bring Teravainen over at the end of the season, I'm sure he could really care about this.

I wanted TT here to start the year. Wanted him in Rockford learning to play HOCKEY instead of SHINNY in the non-contact Euro league. Not sure if his contract allowed for that. But for him to come over now...in the heat of a PHYSICAL stretch run and be effective ? I'd pass on that wager. Not saying he can't, but if they kept him away from us all year, doubt they'd intro him now.

Or, you adjust. We got Turco, FFS.

Or, you adjust. We got Pisani, FFS.

Wow - good game, QA - this could go on for quite some time.

I think the odds are against Teravainen, I don't disagree with you there. I just wouldn't count out Bowman trying him out before the season ends, that's all I'm saying.
