No conformation yet, but it seems to be circulating

I hope not. Patty lasted longer with the Islanders.

The BUF rumors I tweeted about earlier focus primarily but not exclusively on Pat LaFontaine. Still no comment from anyone in BUF.

I have watched Sabres games, and Myers has the size and potential to get there, however, he doesn't play with the physical edge that someone of his size should nor does he control the play. He is susceptible to getting caught chasing and making errant plays that hurt his team. I'm not saying he is bad, average or mediocre, I just don't agree with you in that he is a number one defenseman. Agree to disagree, I suppose.

He's been hitting a lot this season and trying to fight. Destroyed Bergeron and had a few players back down from him. It's tough to play d when most of our fowards don't know where to be and are not good with puck management. Soo many turnovers at the worst opportunities that allow the other team to fly down and gain our zone with #s.

For some reason people think it is an insult to call Myers a #2. Your #2 is usually your best defensive player who can take care of his own end and provide the defensive coverage for a more offensively inclined #1. Sometimes, you can get guys like Chara and Weber who are both your best offensive and defensive guy.

Dan Girardi of the Rangers is a great #2. I think Myers has the tools to be a dominant D Man. But not necessarily a top offensive player or a guy that can drive your power play.

Told the Sabres are "still trying to work out some internal issues". But it doesn't sound promising.

As others have reported, where there's smoke there's fire..in Buffalo. Front office turmoil for sure.

I'm shocked. It's hard sometimes you have a GM and then someone above the GM and the owner. It's better sometimes to just have the GM going right to the owner. Patty is going to have a hard time recovering from this after the Islanders mess if he is out in Buffalo.

Does every team have a #1 going from your definition?

No, that is the problem. The Flyers are a really good team that would be a serious contender if they had a #1 who could drive possession, drive the attack up ice and run the power play. It is why they went after Weber.

Makes no sense. The owner goes out to get Patty to find him a GM and restructure this franchise. He does that and then they screw him over. He would only deserve for them to stay $hitty.

This here, didn't he have the same issues with not agreeing with the Islanders hockey staff.

Based off all of Stan's previous moves, what leads you to believe Chicago has any shot at acquiring Kesler?
- SotaPopinski

Probably wishful thinking but according to JJ there are many trade rumors involving the Hawks right now. The question is can Bowman pull off a deal to get a player like Kesler. So far he hasn't and it worked out ok last year but with the Blues making their deal Bowman just may want to consider addressing that black hole the Hawks have at 2c.

He did. Wang had that whole committee nonsense with Patty, Neil Smith, and Ted Nolan. I've heard soo many different stories. I heard Patty got upset after Neil was let go and quit. No matter it's not going to look good for Patty.

I have no clue what's going on? I thought someone mentioned Patty was upset Murray did not consult him on the Miller trade? Too many voices no good sometimes. Too many chances for bad feelings.

How can they start a rebuild??? The sedins are immovable. Luongo is immovable. Burrows is unmoveable. They only have a couple of pieces they can move and they won't bring back that much.
