Trading Edler and Kesler is separate deals to restock their young talent would put them well ahead of where the Leafs were coming out of the lockout, a least when you look prospects/young players. I'd like to see Luongo bought out, but realize it's highly unlikely. The Sedins will likely retire here, Henrik is still pretty damn good(was around a PPG before he got injured and tried to play through it), but Daniel has significantly regressed. Burrows was overpaid, won't argue that one. Daniel, Burrows and Luongo have the worst contracts on the team IMO.

Not really. The canucks are damn near starting from scratch in terms of prospects.

The leafs had one year 02 or 03, that they had ten players in the WJC, five on team Canada alone. They werent completely without prosoects. Trading kesler and edler MIGHT bring them even. Then again, maybe not.

I don't remember them all. It wasn't bad though. Steen, stajan, colaiacovo, ian white, wellwood, pilar, boyes. All highly regarded at the time.
