Are you sure you want to go with Bernier?

Bernier has not looked good the last few vs the Isles. Not easy when you leave the Kings D and system.

I get the impression that when one of those guys falters a bit the other one steps up. Bernier didn't have a great game yesterday Grabners second goal was pretty bad and completely avoidable.

Is this a joke? Obviously you don't watch many leaf games, Bernier has been unbelievable all season. Leafs wouldn't be in a playoff spot without him. He had a bad game after two weeks off...

It's not easy for these young goalies and especially when the quality shots start to pile up. Toronto seems it give up a ton of shots. Not saying the goalies have no blame. It takes time though. I'll take Bernier any day.

Cappy should be fired for just his handling of the goalies. Let Poulin play now that Vish and Hamonic are back. Nabby is not the future and should not be the backup next year. I really hope Poulin goes to another team and shines.

Neither is Poulin

very impress with Lee.
As for Halmo. Yeah Im impressed. Just call him this year Colin MacDonald. He'll be hungry and play hard until he get a contract. Then he will get Lazy have a -20 rating. Its call TrentHunteritis.

Please dont mention Poulin. if Poulin played it it would have been a L for sure.
Nabby entitled to occasional off game. he has been sitting on couch for 2 weeks. he came up big when he had to.

If it was poulin, it would have been 3-0 after first period and we would have to battle back from that.

Not for this team and coach. I like Poulin's chances with a real coach and D system.

Someone who has been under the radar bad this year is Matt Martin. Yes he finishes his hits but does he throw a lot of hits that change momentum or does he bring anything else? He needs to up his game because right now I'd rather see Boulton out there
- Isles316

I disagree... not something I want to argue about but I think he has played well. He has clearly worked on his skating and is faster this year. He crashes the net.. makes big hits and sticks up for his teamates.

Trade Vanek to LA for Toffoli + 2014 1st round pick OR Anaheim for Gibson + 2014 1st round pick

Trade MacDonald + our 2014 3rd round pick to Boston or Detroit for their 1st round pick

Trade all 3 of our 1st round picks for Ekblad

Thus the long picture....

We traded away: Moulson, MacDonald, our 2015 1st round pick, 2014 2nd round pick, 2014 3rd round pick

We received: Ekblad & Toffoli or Ekblad and Gibson

If Garth did this I would say the whole trading for Vanek and whatnot was a wash.

A-mack's blocked shot on the open net with less than a minute was a game saver last night. Hopefully one of the teams thinking about trading for him saw it.
- niteislander

Snow should be emailing that video clip out today and telling every GM, This guy does this every night. If we had the money to sign him we would. Just give me a 1st line Dman and a 1st round pick and just say i did you a favor.

Glad you can project a players future laziness... Trent Hunter was lazy.. He couldn't skate in the post nhl lockout. Big difference between lazy and slow

If Lee, Halmo and Strome stick, this is a team of 20 to 24 yr olds next yr with KO as the old vet up front and Franz as the Old Vet (if Boulton goes). Nabby and Viz are the Sr Citizens who enjoy the employment, but anyone you add has to blend with the 20 to 24 yr old crowd.

If BOS really wants to make a run I could see them taking AMAC and Vanek; and giving us a nice return.

out of sheer boredom... lets put our best guesses on here to where these guys end up.

My Call is Snow packages A-mack and Vanek to same team for picks and prospects. My call is Pens b/c of the 2 injuries.. not sure how the cap room works but that is my call.

Was 7 years $62 million for Vanek the cheapest option? How about Hamonic's contract?
I don't think they function on the cheap with EVERYTHING, but they're only willing to pony-up on something they thoroughly believe in.

I think he has done well.. there have been times the 4th line was our best line in games. I also think he and Casey work pretty well... I don't expect a ton from the 4th line too.... I think Colin stinks too by the way and is their weak link.

I agree I think Martin does his job. He is not on this team to get goals but to hit and knock guys off the puck and he has done that

Would love to see what Poulin could do playing a couple of games with the Rangers with that D and system.
