Many thought the same with Milbury.
- ses111

Milbury quit though. If he didn't, I doubt wang would've fired him. Wang needed to be convinced dp was finished before he got bought out for god sake

OK, coach- you have another goalie on the bench. This is another thing he never does which drives me f***ing insane. When your goalie has his head up his a$$, take him out. It happens to the best of them- I've seen Patrick Roy give up like 8 goals in a game and get yanked. These guys shouldn't have nearly that much rope.

If the rumors are true.. Milbury had enough and left.

If the rumors are true.. This franchise is doomed

Watch the Devils. The defenseman moves in to pinch- he reaches the puck, dumps it into the corner, and backs out. He doesn't skate all over the godd*mn place like he's the f***ing left wing. The defenseman starts to move up, looks for an opening, sees there isn't one, and backs out of the zone. He doesn't drive to the net like he's the f***ing center. This is because the Devils have a coach who is deserving of that position at the NHL level. There is no other explanation for that, in my opinion.

I'm not even watching this game. Why should I get upset watching another team play d the way it should be played.

No way to know for sure. Have to think the press attention and no building excuse will make a difference. Only time will tell.

That's my thought- once they're in NYC, they won't be able to hide anywhere- they won't only have one guy from Newsday covering the team. I have a feeling that the first sign of on and off ice success in Brooklyn brings out the for sale sign, anyway- I think Wang's problem now is that his team is like my house in PA....he can't get what he spent on it, so he can't sell it. Once he hears the right number, he's out.

Nothing we can do. Not our fault if Wang continues to keep Garth if he is doing a bad job in Brooklyn.

Milbury was "promoted" to a position where he did nothing. Then he quit.

We can argue about Snow and Wang, and what they should get for Vanek, and what they should do with MacDonald, Nabokov, Visnovsky, etc., all day long. The bottom line is that until this coach is sh*t canned, and this "system" goes right into the trash bin along with him, this team isn't going to do sh*t, no matter who is on the roster. No one gives up four power play goals in the same game, unless not one player on the team has been taught even the slightest defensive fundamental of any kind- this team isn't great, but it's not THAT bad on paper. It just isn't. This coach MAKES it this bad. It's obvious to anyone who has ever watched hockey for five minutes what the problem is.

Over course jagr gets his 700th against us thanks to macdonald.

Congrats though to Jaromir Jagr on goal number 700. I honestly think if he didn't go to europe for 3 years after his contract with the rangers expired he'd be on the verge of scoring 800.

- The Iceman

Jagr has been an amazing NHL player, kudos on his career......
I mentioned in the off-season that the Isles should have signed him, great leader and would have helped teach the kids.

Exactly right! Some will say Charles is not letting Garth fire Cappy yet. Who know what the reasons are. The problem is Cappy should not have been hired in the 1st place. Especially after Gordon did not work out. A proven coach was needed.

That's the problem with this club, we all know Isles are not making it, so lets see what the others are capable of doing w/the remaining games left...
No we will continue to play Nabby.....

Very smart of Hammer getting into a fight with the concussion problem he had this year. First smart thing Butch said all year.

That he has. Him and selanne, when they hang it up it will be the end of an era for me. Cause growing up they were the best along with bure when gretzky was in the final few years of his career. I would've loved to have seen the isles sign him last summer. Jagr would probably be looking like he was almost 10 years younger on a line with tavares. He would've been a great mentor. Especially for the likes of strome, nelson and lee. Maybe could've shown grabner how to finish.

Yep, those were the golden days w/all that talent.
My favorite was Peter Forsberg, wondered how he would have ended without an early exit bc of back problems..
