The best way to approach the team this season, is realising what they are.

A currently mediocre crew. I still look to the youth of this team, the heirs that will hopefully lead it to a cup.

Whether they can do so, is a question in itself. Build for the future.

To clarify, the only thing I really look for from this season is at the play of the youth.

To see what roles bSchenn, Couturier, Simmonds and Mason can play in the future. Are they simply complementary pieces? Or will they be go-to-guys.

A large majority of the current team, is irrelevant to its future, from a success stand point imo.

Isn't he signed to a 5 year 9.7 billion dollar contract?

Did buffalo fire their GM yet?

Intriguing depending on the price, but you have to wonder. Sabres are re-building and he was an untouchable not too long ago. What would make them re-think so quickly?

He isn't also the most fleet of foot.

Panties are all in a wad after a Sharks win? But if we're gonna go down that road, how many Cups have the Sharks won?

if you want to go down that road how many have the flyers won since the sharks came into the league

the answer is the same, but at least they've gone to the finals twice.

i wouldn't call the loss against the hawks a choke. the hawks were favored, for good reason, and the flyers never led in the series.

you could say they choked against detroit, as they were the favorite, but getting swept doesn't seem like choking to me. choking is the bruins blowing a 3-0 series and 3-0 game 7 lead and losing.

the flyers should win the cup every year and michael leighton lets in a joke goal that ruins the cup finals
