I'm saying tonight they looked slow out there. There have been games where they have gotten after it, but far to often they don't. And that is what I mean by just going through the motions.

I agree with all of that. I don't agree that this team is slow, and therefore can't compete with the better teams in the League. That's what I took from your post. If I got that wrong, then my apologies.

This team's inconsistency in it's play, has been the single biggest issue with this current team as constituted, this Season. I keep waiting for them to learn that lesson as a team, and make the leap to the next step. But they haven't gotten over that hurdle yet. And it's frustrating.

Not going to overreact. They need to get moving starting Saturday against the hottest team in the league.

exactly. in todays NHL you can never get too high or too low off of one game. especially when you consider once a team is down by 2 or 3 they just stop anyway.

Raffl needs to be moved up in this lineup. I don't care if it's downies or vinnys expense. If he's on the 2nd line he can get in on the forecheck quicker with b schenn and Simmonds who like to dump in anyway. JFC it's so obvious

I like Raffl right where he is. He gives the Flyers depth, and a player that can move up in case of injury. It's premature to make that move, but I guess the whipping boys are still in place after one game in from the break. Raffl had his hand in the loss today when he blew his coverage and lost Torres at the net on SJ's first goal.

well not being a Richard but i dont think you guys are legitimate cup contenders just yet. i still think the talent mix is still off, and you are at least one back end defender away. but i dont think you guys are nearly as far away as some think. games like this happen. the pens got blown out like 5 1 to ottawa one game, and i would gladly take them on in a playoff match. games like this happen.

Gaustad fetched a first round pick for franks sake.....No way Flyers take a late round pick in fact unless its a solid prospect I doubt he even gets traded at all. The Flyers may or may not make the playoffs but either way its gonna be close, they wont trade him just to trade him.

i think i prefer the olympic break. i'm always amazed by how angry i become within a split second when watching the flyers. what a (frank)ing poop show.
