I think it helps that the Sharks had Vlasic, Pavelski, Marleau and Niemi stay until the end of the Olympics. I wonder if those guys will be slow tonight.

Sharks have a scary good group of forwards when fully healthy.

Apparently, he's back. So...yeah, he's back. And most likely playing. Hockey. For the Sharks.

I see a lot of people laughing about this but I have no idea why.... someone break it down for this loser...

It's not funny in itself. Just the doom and gloom that accompanies it.

The month of March is going to really test the Flyers mettle. That's a damned rough schedule.

You're not kidding. The 'easiest' looking games are the home-and-home against the Caps.

Gotta take it one game at a time. They've done well when faced with difficult stretches.

It may just be the excitement of the season resuming, but Im feeling good about this team right now.

I'm excited, insofar as I'd like to see what Downie, Vinny, and Grossmann after some extended down time. I think they needed it.

I'm excited to see Giroux play with a chip on his shoulder.

I'm excited to see if Voracek got any of that Olympic confidence that was allegedly going around (I think McCrossin has an antibiotic for it).

I'm excited to see Steve Mason continue to play well and have no one in the hockey world give a poop.

But, I'm also mindful, after forcing myself to watch some Olympic play, that this team needs blue line help in the form of someone who can help push the play towards the opposing end of the rink. This team also needs Couturier and BSchenn to continue to develop in a positive way.

I have no delusions about this team; the talent dictates a ceiling of "1st round playoff fodder", but we'll see.

I'm just excited that Flyers hockey is back on.

Call me crazy (my wife and close friends call me much worse!) but I see Raffl with a big game tonight. He was the one member of team Austria who showed up for each and every game.

The kid is really something. I honestly did not think he'd be as good a player as he is. His hustle, speed and never-quit style of play are such a welcome sight to behold. I think there's also room for growth and continued development.

It helped when he began to get his shot angle on net... The first month I thought he'd never get within a foot of the net on all his shots. But it's obvious that has been improving.

Some of his early struggles were most likely a combo of nerves and a rookie just trying too hard. The kid has very good hockey sense, solid skills, above average speed and some sandpaper in his game as well. Now if we could just find some dmen who fit that description!
