Myers+2014 1st I'd do it. Gotta remember that next to Datsyuk, Kesler is probably the best 2 way center in the game & will instantly make any team better. Without him and his leadership there is no doubt the Canucks would be picking in the top 3-5 this year.

That's a bad assumption to make, because he has not said "I will only waive to go to Columbus" the rumours surrounding this are Philly, Pitts & Detroit being in the mix, but I'd suspect anywhere in the east is a possibility and then you'll see how great he really is.

How-about our 2nd round pick this year which is really like the last pick in the 1dt round with the NJ forfeiting their pick.

Could but I doubt it. I've never recalled plekanec winning a playoff series single handed not do I recall him playing on a team with the toughest travel schedule in the league. Thing is, once Kes is out east, you sheltered folks will finally get an appreciation of just how good he is. Especially with that easy travel and that many shi**y teams.

If Kessler and Edler are moved Vancouver is clearly deciding to rebuild. I actually think that is a smart decision to get ahead of their closing window.

But it means missing the playoffs a few years. So, are the Sedins, Luongo and others also going to be on the block?

They won last night. Very hard to make a decision to sell off while your in the middle of the battle. Still think Vancouver's best option is to do nothing until summer.

To be fair, Pleks has never played on a good team. He is Mtl's #1 centermen. He should never be a #1.
