Maybe it isnt true for everyone... but in a lot of circles Brown is considered one of the best captainsin the NHL... so that is a big statement to me

last year was a mess, as was the first half of this season

It's one thing to request a trade because youre upset with management. It's another thing to abandon your teammates in the middle of a playoff run and seek revenge by tying their hands.

If his being upset is from being the 26th player selected to team Canada instead of the top 25 then you're metaphor doesn't fit. It'd be more like that kid who cries because the other kids chocolate bar looked a little bigger...

I'll look more closely but I am worried we saw lightning in a bottle for those few weeks with Stafford and Ennis. I see him as lost in the weeks leading to the break as he has since that first season ended.

Yeah I respect Stevie Y but that was a bad call on not selecting Marty and the fact that he went as a replacement for Stamkos probably didn't help the way he felt. I know Marty said Stamkos wanted him to his replacement since he couldn't play but that's a tough situation.

So to make it all better he's going to ditch the team/fans mid playoff run and make sure they can't get any value for him by saying he'll only waive to go to one team. Nice.

And saying his boss left him off is not entirely accurate. I doubt Yzerman was the only guy who had a say in what went on. If he's upset, he should discuss it privately and leave in the off season. Punishing the team and the fans by acting like a petulant child...is well, childish.

Trust me, its a joke that Chris freaking Kunitz made it over him, but you have to remember, they left off guys with over a 1,000 career points like Joe Thronton as well... It's the toughest team to make
