Blues and Blackhawks are two teams that both have deeper systems than the Sabres. so at best your 3rd and that is not likely.

if you think you are going to get anywhere near what Miller is worth you are dreaming. no team will give up a lot to get miller when there is a chance he does not resign.

Halak and a 2nd or 3rd rounder is more than what Van got for Schneider... of which is about what you can expect for Miller.

regardless Miller will not resign in Buffalo. you might as well take what you can get for him before you get nothing at all.

I think a better deal is out there. I forgot the exact statistics, but I believe less than 25% of 2nd picks make the NHL. Which if he does would be 3-5 years away. Plus Halak (UFA) for the rest of the year does nothing to help the Sabres rebuild. So like I said I would rather let Miller walk than accept a 2nd & Halak. Watching Miller for the rest of the year would bring me more enjoyment. Just my $.02
