Cam Ward. Had a good run. Not elite.

Niemi.

MAF?

- rmiethaner

During their time frames that they won.. they were top 5 in most categories that year though...

Ward and Fleury during their wins were definitely considered top 5-7 in the league...

Niemi is one of hte two blackhawks teams that I mentioned that were just stacked with talent that made up for it.

You can push and shove or whatever.. but you can't drop the actual mitts and fight...

If you do that you are automatically thrown out of the game and the next 2 games of league play..

There have been plenty of times where a guy comes into the other team's locker room after the game and starts somethign though.

- JVince11

I would just think that hitting would lead to more fighting than a non-hitting league. Kind of like the NHL where a clean check is not allowed anymore and you have to fight someone for it.

We have guys that come into our locker room....but that's because they ran out of beer in theirs.

Miller and Ott to STL seem to be the most popular one that I have seen?

With us getting back Halak, Rattie and 2nd/stewart or whatever if we put in a little more.

Exactly. I know for a fact that he's #2 in JJPM (jumping jacks per minute) (Goc is #1 btw) and he has the biggest Buffy the Vampire Slayer blu ray collection in the league.

sorry but that would be giving up too much for an aging Miller who may not resign. you are not going to get that much from any team IMO.
- spencerelliott

Quit being silly Mr Troll . 33 is not old for an elite goaltender . Goaltenders develop later but the elite ones can also stay effective into their late 30's

he said buffalo will rebuild in a few years

not i

- spencerelliott

You don't think that adding guys like Reinhart and McDavid to this team's #2 ranked prospect pool that we CURRENTLY have is going to mean that in 3 years or so we could be a contender???

Not to mention that we have 3 1sts in the next 2 years... and about 6 2nds that can be used to improve draft picks, get another 1st, or add players/prospects.

pieces are there... we just now need the right person to put the puzzle together.

you still won't win a Cup...

Besides the STACKED Blackhawks...

I don't think a non-elite goaltender has won the Stanley Cup in close to 2 decades..

prove me wrong... The only exception might be Khabby with TBL but he played pretty darn elite that year.

ha

rebuild in a few years? your joking right?

besides im not sure Miller is even top 5 anymore. a couple of years ago yeah, but now im not sure.

well if Buffalo wants to let him walk for nothing then I am fine starting Jake Allen.

- spencerelliott

So are fine starting a goalie that is not ready to take you to a cup . How nice of you . Do you think by coming around and insulting us , our GM will give in and give you Miller for nothing ?

yeah and who ranked the Sabres at #2 in prospects?

you may have lots of good prospects but you are not #2 in the league

Blues and Blackhawks are two teams that both have deeper systems than the Sabres. so at best your 3rd and that is not likely.

that doesn't even make sense...

are you just dodging that I made an obvious point and that STL doesn't have hte answer or do you think you are funny like the other two??

we like to have actual conversations... discuss possibilities...

you try it..

arrange letters into words... put words into sentences.. sprinkle in some periods and commas... you know... left to right...

To his defense, Miller himself said yesterday that not many goalies play well after age 33, which is why he wants to move now while he still has a couple good years left.

Vince, prolly not a good idea to start something up against a Blues fan. They have a ridonkulous team with or without Miller.

People seem to forget that Miller and Ott are both UFAs. Believe me, I hope Murray can fleece someone, but some of the proposals are Garth-like.
