I agree on not overpaying. But a first rounder isnt going to get anyone significant now, and they shouldn't be thinking about trading B.Schenn or Couturier for a Yandle or Big Buff.

If those are the choices then yes... stand pat, but I think "hockey trades" can still be made.

Weber is pretty much it....really not sold on giving a major package for Buff or Yandle...I think they are good players but not game changers that the Flyers need

Id give a decent package for Byfuglien or Yandle, Either of those guys would be significant upgrades, as would a guy like Erhoff.

A guy like Weber's gonna cost multiple first rounders, as well as player assets.

the going rate for ott is a first and top prospect. this poop is so out of hand anymore.

I've been beating that drum for a long time now -- guys like Cliff Fletcher would never have made it in this league today.

You can barely make trades in this league anymore because everybody has to win a trade, nobody trades defensemen and everybody is scared every prospect they've got is actually the love child of Mario Lemieux and Wayne Gretzky, while every veteran has Mark Messier's leadership and Claude Lemieux's "clutchness"
