Can't disagree with any of that, but I still think that slighted/pissed off Giroux is the best Giroux.
- BulliesPhan87

I don't disagree.

Have to give Martin St. Louis credit -- that dude holds a grudge at a higher level than some ex-wives I know

I guess it meant a lot to him to be scratched/stapled to the bench.

Lol that was definitely salt in the wound... might have done less damage just to snub him the second time around, lol.

Absolutely. If he knew he wasn't going to play he may not have even bothered throwing a hissy fit.

I... kind of think that if the Olympics still involve NHL players moving forward, it probably shouldn't involve current NHL executives.

Fair point. Bobby Clarke for GM of team Canada in South Korea! Matt Ellison first line winger for Team Canada!

No, Clarke would simply make Eric Lindros the captain again like he did in 1998 when he shouldn't have.

Would he make Carl Lindros the Head Coach?

We're not a good fit with Tampa, I don't think -- they went young a couple of years ago, which is why they moved Lecavalier out. If they do wind up moving St. Louis, I'd bet they go looking for a deal that gets them a 3/4 defenseman
- AllInForFlyers

I'd give them Mez, Downie and a pick.

MSL up for grabs has me worried sick...

Edit: and VL still has to play one full season for another team before he is allowed to be traded back, correct?

Does anyone think that Yzerman abruptly resigning as Exec for Team Canada right after the Olympics were over, is related to the St. Louis fiasco?

Yes, he has to play for one calendar year before he could be dealt back to TBL.
