Ference hasn't been to good for Edmonton - LeafsFan64
surprising, he's not getting any younger, he's on the small side and he's not playing behind Chara....
who woulda thought it...

Exactly, unless someone throws something at him from left field that he cant resist.
He should get rid of Orr though - Fakepartofme
If he did get someone out of left field, he could send down Orr and Ranger to free up a couple Mill. |

Already have a junk 7dman....No thanks - Byfuglien Ate Me
Gards, phaneuf, gunner and franson .The youth and lack of experience is probably the real problem |

would leafs nation trade bolland for kesler?
- dmnted
only way I think that works is if Leafs include Reimer, Kadri Bozak and 3 1sts...
while Vancouver includes Booth, Luongo (who we need to remind ourselves has a GREAT contract) and of course Corrado.
and at this point... I'll turn it over to the more reasonable minds of the Canuck fans.

Is not the Captain too?
Alot of new responsibilty on his shoulders. Takes time to adjust |

True.

He will get less and less ice as the playoffs near and then be sent down IMO. |

not enough around him... he's exposed... not a bad player... but certainly not approaching elite. |

Not really a problem to have very good young D men. Franson has been hurt this year from what I hear, hopefully he is better after the break, but it would be nice to add for cheap. |

RC mentioned that Franson had been dealing with muscle and hip issues prior to the break. Wonder how much that played into his inability to pivot etc. |

It sure helped picking up Gleason...
Despite what some ppl on here were saying about Gleason when the deal was first talked about.... |

I dont think anyone expected him to be as effective as he as been.
I was "meh" about the trade....but now Im really loving it. |

i liked that deal from the get go
at the very least he was an upgrade on the bottom pairing... the fact he has rounded back into himself and plays second line minutes is fantastic.
we need to move franson for another guy similar to him.
then we will finally have a D that is built the way RC wants it to be. |

I was on the cautious side believing it was a side step but it certainly has proved to be much more.
He has really started to help stabilize the defense. |

Komi was supposed to be the next captain of the Canadiens.... after that everything went down hill.
Burke's worst signing ever. |
