So no concern at all that we, at that point, would have likely thrown away 3? picks for 15 games from Bolland?

With the market being the way it is, I don't see him taking anything less than 4. That is way too much and has LILES written all over it. With the GM's that are out there, someone would probably throw 4.5 at him regardless of how he looks over the remaining however many games he gets into (if any).

I agree, I fear he may end up like Stephen Weiss.
Not rebounded to former level of play, but with a big contract.

Kesler as a Leaf is a very interesting thought. Give VAN Clarkson a mid round pick and a mediocre prospect

yeah we can put a diving board on both blue lines so he has an excuse for all his diving.

He'll complain that Kadri's hogging the diving boards.

Injuries happen. I'd be more upset if they traded him for a 2nd and didn't have him for the playoffs this year. If he's not the same player now after the injury, he won't be able to demand the big money.

Dustin Tokarski has been recalled from the Hamilton Bulldogs. Carey Price (lower-body injury) will not be in uniform tonight.

He can make an extra mill in endorsements in this market and be a home town hero. That's gotta count for something. Better than signing for 5 mill and risking the embarrassment of being bought out in a couple years.

Raymond could give a good pay day for a team with a real cup run coming and have no cap space.

Kuli must go, sorry, only russian I liked.

Franson, get him out now. Send him to Edmonton or Calgary

Bolland is up in air.

Aaron Ekblad. Haydn Fleury. Aaron Haydon. Sign someone this summer and develop.

Bring in a D. Sign leadership 3rd line role.

I think he's leading the league this year. He's a master diver and good for him. Everyone at least tries, just some are better at it than others.

i agree completely.

we finally have a team now that people want to play for...if stupid clarkson just took what he should have made, it would be much easier resigning guys like bolland

Yea I agree. I just don't think his timing is looking good especially with this potential set-back being reported. AKA, I hope they can at least give him SOMEWHAT of a look before he hits UFA or else he becomes a big gamble.

If he isn't physically able to prove he can be the same Bolland this season, he'll likely be a training camp try out next year, like Raymond was this year. I can't see teams taking accepting the risk of giving him 3-4mill for multiple years.

Lets hope this isn't true then:

theScore
Dave Bolland is reportedly seeking a long-term contract worth upwards of $5-million per year from the Toronto Maple Leafs. That's a whole lot of cheddar for a 3rd line center.

he allegedly wants 40 mil + over 7-8 years. but that's if you're to give anything kypreos has to say any credit whatsoever.

if bolland is trying to bend his hometown team over a barrel like that he can GTFO.

Bolland is gonna do this right. Stop thinking only about the cap and it's limitations/ what hes worth and what he wants.

I know people who are friends with him, this is his home, he wants to be here with his family and friends. If there is any chance of making that happen he will. What's money when you're away from everything you want in life?

Pull the knife away from your wrist. For god sakes let the balance of the season play out. Most signs suggest he's almost back to health.
