Why would we trade reimer for a guy who cost more than 2X, to be our backup.

Cant really see a trade working out unless it's a big deal with Bogosian coming back and Reimer and Franson heading to the peg

Miller is obviously superior, but yeah 20 games of miller is not worth more than a few years of Reimer.

Edler would cost more than he's worth, don't see it happening.

The Plus would have to be > Gagner. The Sabres already have 2 smallish offensive guys (Both Hodgson and Ennis career goals/game > Gagner and Ennis's PPG is slightly better, and hodgson is slightly worse).

Gagner doesn't help the Sabres as far as I can see.

I say just keep him and let him walk. His value is low because of the injury, so there is no point to trading him. The best we can hope for is that he comes back strong and scores the cup winner...

It's a tough spot, but I think people are seeing these supposed "reports" and are freaking out. Of course he is looking to try to score a 7-8 year deal at 5+ mil. That's where he's starting (ala Bozak). I think he comes in at amore reasonable rate/term.
