I'm sure you see the difference Marty.

I don't think there's a difference.
Unless you consider language to be an handicap.

Absolutely I just don't see a contender dealing from their top 6 for a rental unless they are on a bad contract, up for a big renewal, or not playing well (Briere/Bourque).

Not sure where handicaps come in here.
I don't believe the person who says things like that is making it an issue of language. In Quebec, it's an issue of language, because they don't want Quebec born players (Ribeiro, Luongo, etc.) as much as they want French speaking Quebec born players. Listen, I am not trying to argue with you, just pointing out a subtle difference in this one issue.

Not gonna lie, I'm not looking forward to the next 5 games.

Let's say I have a feeling I'll be missing team canada pretty badly.

I'll take a guess and say that Price will too.

But who knows? Maybe Price and Subban bring a rejuvenated, positive vibe to the team and they go on a run.

Pacioretty will pout in a corner.

Ribeiro and Luongo are considered as French-speaking Quebec-born players, as far as I know. Or maybe you want to make a distinction with "pur laines", which would be pretty irrelevant.

Aside from Joel Ward and Anthony Stewart, are there other non French-speaking Quebecers?

Anyway, as would say habby, anglos always make it about language.

They speak French, yes. But that's not the same and is certainly relevant.
And this wasn't an Anglo making it about anything, my boy.

Bring me good, strong, fast and talented players, and I don't care of they come from the moon.
