Why would dallas do that? Roussel has a solid role in the NHL, lokti is currently a fringe player. - rmdevil313
Too much playing vidya games I suppose. Trade values are all out of whack. Guess we're doomed forever. |

That be nice. I think they could use some Bryce Salvador. But it is of my opinion everyone could use some Sal in there life. |

I think any deal for a guy like Kessler or Richards would either center around henrique or zajac as we don't really have scoring to send back to l.a and we can't afford to give up pics and prospects to Vancouver to help their retool or rebuild |

Larsson+ - rmdevil313
I feel the same about both Adams. Depending on what the plus is I don't know if I would do it. I would love to hear that we have added either one of Kesler or Richards but I would be pretty bumbed to hear one of the Adams + was leaving. It seems more and more like the Blues will look to move Stewart and I would love to have him. Do you think him and Clowe is to much ? I wonder if Ryder and Merril would get it done? I wouldn't want to give up to much for Stewart as he doesn't fill a need ( he isn't a scorer despite being able to score ) He is more of a want. If we had both Clowe and Stewart we could dress them both every night and never had to dress Janssen and we wouldn't be a fun team to play against. I would still rather see about moving junk to get Heatley here as he is a scorer and shouldn't cost much. |

I wouldn't mind giving up Larsson at all for Kesler. He'd help our offense and fit into our system nicely. Stewart would be nice because big guys who can protect the puck usually fit in nicely with DeBoer, I just don't see what we give up to get him. I don't think St Louis wants to make their team any worse heading into the playoffs. |

No doubt I don't see us having much they would want. It's hard to deal with a team that has Taresenko, Backes, Oshi, Pietrangelo, Shattenkirk, Jbo, and company and we don't have picks to give up. I would like Kesler but I think if we are to move Larsson or Henrique in needs to be for a guy who is better at scoring goals then he is at anything else. I have bought in to all the little things Zajac does but I am still curious to see if you could move him for Kesler or Richards and not skip a beat while getting a tad more offense. Also from what i have been reading is that the blues aren't impressed with Stewarts production for the amount of money that he makes and he can go invisible at times so they might not be asking the moon for him but in the Blues blog I asked what it would take they said Henrique and a 2nd I would never give that up for Stewart. I think the Blues would likely take a lot less then that to move him but still would want something decent. |

I also feel if you get a guy like Kesler or Richards who I would love. You would have to give up Zajac or Henrique. It would be to much of a log jam at center and I really don't like Henrique on the wing. Unless Zajac plays third line center and then you have a guy making 6 mil playing third line. |

What about Brunner and a middle of the road prospect for Higgins ? Vancouver gets younger and a prospect and we get a guy who can score on a more consistent basis then Brunner. |

He would take the C right off Backes chest and it would give them a real leader to go into the play offs with |

Does higgins play wing or Center? If he is a center I say no. Not good enough to be a number one guy and we have no wingers to replace Brunner if he is moved. (frank) i just want to move sal. |

He is LW has 5 points less then Kessler but likely costs way less to acquire him. I have heard nothing about them moving him but if they MOve Kesler then I can't see them holding on to him either the only ones staying in a rebuild if it happens is the twins and that is because no team can take both of them |

Only thing is we need to get 3 lines going and if we get rid of brunner we are still searching. Zubs-Zajac-Jagr Elias-Henrique-Ryder Clowe-Higgins-Lokti/jo. The team will still suck this year could help in years to come though if higgins can be solid the remaining years of his deal. Also with his numbers has he gotten some time with Sedins this year? If so than he no doubt has some inflated stats. Just something to think about. |

The way I see it is giving up Zajac for Kesler is like the Islanders giving up Moulson for Vanek. Yeah, they got the better player but we wouldn't be fixing the real problem on our team. All of our wingers except Zubrus are limited in some way (age, 1 dimensional, or just really slow) it would help to have 3 centers that can drive possession so we can take some of the pressure off the wingers. Kesler would give us that. I don't think we'd become any sort of dangerous offensive team by adding him but he'd help get us that one extra goal we always need.
If Merrill is still DeBoer's favorite, there may not be a place for Larsson on next year's team either. That sounds ridiculous right now but Harrold, Sal, and Volchenkov are all under contract. There is no sign that any of them will be gone. Fayne should be resigned. Then even if we still let Zid go we already have 7 D with those four, Greene, Gelly, and Merrill. |
