I think it's just because people we're afraid of the uncertainty of guaranteed victory and a comfortable lead the entire tournament.

Canada dominated the entire time.

i agree.. but i totally get LMs point.. it was boring lol

Whole team seemed snakebit for some reason. A few more games, and they would've been pumping in 6-8 regularly.

And the ice was about as smooth as the tarmac outside your average elementary school.

If you're looking for a sport where the winner is judged based on style and artistic impression you might want to look into figure skating.

I agree. I thought it was a clinic on how to beat the trap.

A lot of great goaltending performances in this tourney.

One thing I didn't notice before or did not pay attention to, Toews is a string bean. Pretty skinny.

Price was conditionned his entire career to protect one goal leads.

He was destined for these Olympics.

- Scabeh

Price was great. I'm just glad none of us have to listen to Scooby tell us how Luongo won us the tourny. Although he's probably still declaring that.

once they started dominating yes.. but it became pretty obvious that canada was simply in a league of their own.

would of been a far different game if sweden wasnt battling a ton of injuries mind you.

that no centre depth really hurt them.

What? You don't think that the South Korean superstar Richard Park won't be threatening to leave the NHL if he isn't allowed to go? (frank), with that kind of pressure, the Bettman has no choice but to cave.

One could argue that Canada was missing its #1 goal scorer (Stamkos) and lost Tavares along the way.

I don't think Zetterberg and Sedin would have solved Team Canada on their own.

Canada obviously had the necessary depth to still be incredible strong at center even without Tavares and Stamkos, which is amazing.

The Swedes didn't have players like Duchene to step in when they lost their 3 best centermen in Zetterberg, Sedin and Backstrom.

It would have helped them for sure.... we'll never know if it would have been enough to turn the tide.

IMHO, not a chance it would have made any difference. Crosby, Toews and Getzlaf with those 6 defenders weren't giving up anything in their own end.

Canada has the player to make 4 teams as strong as most of the teams we played.. Maybe with the US being the exception.

Keep Hedman off and bench OEL, play Ericsson and Tallinder instead...you deserve to lose.

no.. but it would of made their scoring ability far more complete.

dont know if they make enough of a difference.. but they would of made a difference.

all i am trying to say.
