I hope Kessel and JVR can maintain that pace prior to the start of the Olympics. I'm glad Bolland had some time to get back into game shape - I still think he'll look like a hippo on ice compared to his competition. Here's to wishing...

One of the most important aspects to look forwards to is maintaining secondary scoring. Before the break guys like Lupul Kadri Kulemin and Raymond were putting the puck in the net more regularly. If the Leafs want to battle for the playoff we need those guys contributing. Same goes for our Defense - the had been pretty silent all season until the last few weeks of January.

I wonder if Bernier will be able to keep up that solid play..?

Also no comparison to the women's last minute come from behind victory. Slower/sloppier hockey in general, but that was straight out of a Hollywood script.

Montreal could actually go 0-5 in their next 5 games.
- Pecafan Fan

Or they could go 5-0

... You just never know with the mediocre teams like Tor, Mon, Ott, Det, NYR, Car, Was, ... hell, half the eastern conference is made up of teams which are all pretty much at the same level.

if you mean put the leafs season to rest, I agree.
the chance to do that was last year

- senstroll

I completely agree. Leafs vs, Bruins would be a disastrous matchup for us.

It was truly horrible.

From a Canada standpoint, I think we only started to see the potential of how good they could be, in the very last game.

Seriously, we face them every 2 year or so.
- Scabeh

Yeah but your record of success against them is much better than ours.

That's why I hate Olympic style hockey. The rinks are too big and reminds me of soccer on ice. Teams do nothing but trap and try to create odd man rushes. Canada knew this going in and said that they had more talented players and just beat the European teams at their own game. I think that the Olympics should consider going to the North American size rink and bring physical play back into the Olympics. It's awful to watch. I completely skipped the opening round and only started watching when the games meant something. It's putrid and they can keep it! I'm glad that real hockey returns this week.

It's lonely at the bottom, at least the Flames and Oilers are here to keep us company

Been a long time since I felt your pain.

Yep. Let the hate flow through you.

Watching elimination style hockey got me so jacked up for the culmination of the NHL season!

Would love to see a Habs/Leafs match up. Bruins would cause PTSD.

The bolded is something that occurred to me also. It felt like teams were playing for a 1-0 win.
