So you guys wants Stafford is what you are saying??
- JVince11

Holmgren would no doubt give you Matt Read, Scott Laughton and possibly Simmonds but you would obviously have to throw in Johnn Scott and Pat Kaleta along with Stafford. We cant let the crazy notion of becoming a faster quicker stronger skating team take over we have to stay true to our colors and beat everyone senseless with the most penalties in the league!

I think Wheeler is the Jets best forward. Kane has the most talent but he is a head cause and injury riddled with non stop little nagging problems.

He has barely played in winnipegs recent success with Maurice, I think they can trade him and be ok.

I personally like Ladd a bit more than Wheeler.. does more things on the ice.. both zones.. is a better leader IMO..

Wheeler's upside along with his proven abilty to develop more and more each year make him their best forward IMO.

I am a huge fan of Evander Kane. But, the rumors make me wonder about his competitive viability at this time.

Its not that i cant see him moved ,its just that they have some pretty good defensemen on the come .I think if they do move him they would probably want a forward back as the centerpiece of any deal for him

Exactly. I just dont see any possible "real" trade scenario for the Flyers this year. And when i say real i mean one that could actually happen in The NHL, not NHL 14. At this point the flyers need to be patient and see what happens. Theres no trade in the world right now available to them that make them a contender, sad but true. Sit back deal Mez for anything that you can and let the season run its course, maybe make the playoffs and try and put together productive season. Schenn, Couturier, Laughton, Giroux, Simmonds seems like a decent core to build around. But like you said chances are 2 of the younger players get traded for a player that is either a shell of himself or extremely overrated. Either way, i think Hextall's time needs to be sooner rather than later.

I couldn't agree more. The truth of the situation is you have an aging owner, who would give anything to see the orange and black hoist the cup before the grim reaper knocks on his door, and all Flyers fans know our back line isnt gonna cut it pure and simple. The right way to do it is keep drafted defense, see if Morin is the real deal and let the core up front develop together and see were that takes us...However, I dont think Snider is gonna be that patient.....which is why we will continue to hear the names of Weber,Buff,Yandle.....and if any of those happen I guarantee that we will overpay tremendously

Cant it ever be Moulson and Erhoff, or Moulson and Tallinder, or Moulson and Meyers Ott would be a great leader on our team with great grit but we dont need it!

Oh ok ,but that jet blueline looks good to me .I dont see how trading one of their best forwards for another defender as some have suggested helps them

Only real sellers IMO are Sabres and Islanders, but the Sabres are 50/50 in my eyes. If they choose to keep Miller, which i dont see as a bad idea than Moulson could be their only real sell. As for the islanders, its pretty much a forgone conclusion that Vanek and MacDonald are gone simply so they do not lose them to FA.

............... duh!

We don't have studs like Giroux and Simmonds to build around..

we have 2nd line role guys playing top minutes..

Hopefully we got those studs in the next 2 years worth of drafts..

Leino will be bought out.. that is a done deal.. We are past that.

And for the record the correct answer to that joke would be YES! There are a select few forwards who i would not trade for Erik Karlsson and im sorry but a forward with some decent potential but a questionable work ethic and injury history is not one of them.

Miller has said that the management team "has a plan and that they will lay it out to him to see if he wants to resign"

I believe the plan is to trade ott.. resign Moulson.. resign Miller.. and hopefully still get Reinhart and McDavid/Eichel.

As am i with Bryzgalov, but my appreciation towards the Sabres for offering him that huge contract and keeping the flyers from overpaying for him in FA lives on.

If im a Sabres fan i have no problem with that plan. Miller isnt exactly "old" for a goalie and still has plenty of tread on the tires in my opinion. Depending on what moulson wants, i can certainly see them resigning him or ott. Leadership goes a long way during a rebuild.

Buffalo needs to sell, this is obvious....Miller isnt the future there and with the market the way it is you could get a nice haul back for basically anyone who contributes anything

You are correct!
Most fans think Miller is past his prime, or close to it, which I disagree.
