Not when you have our circumstances..
We already have Myers, Risto, Zadorov, McCabe, Pysyk, Ruhwedel, and McNabb in our pipeline all under the age of 23.
not to mention Ehrhoff signed long term.
I do bet one of those last three gets dealt with a rental player though. - JVince11
Under any circumstances,TM will gain an asset at the draft for buffalo,if he likes the defenseman more ,he will draft him .He will not draft a forward just because the parent club needs them at the moment |

Reinhart is the cream of the crop.. His vision and hockey IQ make him the best forward.. then Ekblad... then the rest...
I see us taking Reinhart at #1... EDM taking Ekblad at #2.. and then Buffalo getting NYI's 1st in the 4-6 range and winding up with dal Colle/Draistl/Bennett |

Trading Ott and Moultson to division rivals make no sence at all.I think Buffalo s gm makes a bigger splash resigning both players.Guys like Miller ,Stafford, Lenio maybe even some of your back end should be the pieces this team moves. |

A lot of the folks think that Miller is 90% dealt. MIN or STL... after the way that Halak got shelled in the Olympics I am going to be very curious of this next week. |

I just see Pitt getting E. Kane.. my mind will not let me think otherwise for some reason...
Just like how I see Moulson to LA... and Vanek to Det..
Ott to Chicago also seems to sit well. - JVince11
It would take Letang in return in order to get Kane, and I just don't seeing anyone wanting Tanger at this point. Way to big of a risk. |

yea...
I was thinking maybe if Bennett and Martin with a pick could do it.. but I don't know the value of those players to Pitt vs acquiring a legit top winger for Crosby is..
Maybe Setoguichi is a more likely target? |

I am a huge fan of Evander Kane. But, the rumors make me wonder about his competitive viability at this time. |

With our D in the state that it is in right now makes it hard to say what we will do trade wise. Both Bennett and Martin are hurt, who knows when they will play again this season. I hope we can somehow get our hands on Steve Ott, a first rounder would do it in my opinion. |

I hate the idea of trading Ott for a 27+ draft pick in a bad draft...
The word is that our GM is only looking for 2015 1sts for our rentals if done straight up. |

strongly disagree. this year they saw doumalin, sammy, despres play well.... martin should be back by playoffs and letang may have a shot as well... pens are all but sure to make the playoffs so they can ride out the last part of season. next year they wil surely keep one of orpik or nisk... but even if they dont, they have scuds, letang, maatta, martin as top 4. and despres, sammy, doumalin, bortz as bottom guys... not to mention the ease of finding a 5-6 guy in free agency. losing a d prospect wouldn't phase the pens... not drafting in the first round (no second rounder this year either) is more detrimental for the pens - ChrisMS
I agree 100 percent with that point that you painstakingly got to but, does it drive anyone else completely insane when people use nicknames for players? Yes we understand you're a huge fan with so much knowledge that you know what the players call each other but seriously you sound ridiculous using "scuds, bortz, nisk, sammy". Actually I should really only be mad at myself for reading it. |

I cant see Pitt taking on another big contract from a forward after Letang extension....Isnt Neal a UFA this summer as well? |

No Neal is signed thru 17-18 at 5/yr. Just another reason the penguins are a better run orginazation than the flyers. A great trade and then a great contract for James Neal. |

Ottawa has the pieces to do a deal for Kane. For example, Lehner and Lazar should be enough. But, I think Ottawa might come to regret the loss of Lazar. More so if Kane turns out to be the head case some are suggesting he has become.

Exactly. I just dont see any possible "real" trade scenario for the Flyers this year. And when i say real i mean one that could actually happen in The NHL, not NHL 14. At this point the flyers need to be patient and see what happens. Theres no trade in the world right now available to them that make them a contender, sad but true. Sit back deal Mez for anything that you can and let the season run its course, maybe make the playoffs and try and put together productive season. Schenn, Couturier, Laughton, Giroux, Simmonds seems like a decent core to build around. But like you said chances are 2 of the younger players get traded for a player that is either a shell of himself or exteremely overrated. Either way, i think Hextall's time needs to be sooner rather than later. |

I think Wheeler is the Jets best forward. Kane has the most talent but he is a head cause and injury riddled with non stop little nagging problems.
He has barely played in winnipegs recent success with Maurice, I think they can trade him and be ok. |
