Is Brooklyn not on LONG Island?

If Anaheim trades Fasth and decides not to re-sign Miller, than right there that clears up 7.4 million. He never said he wanted to play in Anaheim directly, but if Anaheim decided to offer 7 mill for 5 years where he can actually live in the OC with his wife and spend his winters hanging out on sandy beaches instead of shoveling his driveway...what would YOU do?

Plus Anaheim is a young, competitive team that can challenge for a cup ever year for the next 5 years, especially after what they can do at this point with 2 1st rounders this year that will only help improve the club.

Is Etem, Silfverberg, Palmieri, Bonino, Noesen, and whoever they get with OTT's 1st enough youth where enough will pan out for their 2nd and 3rd scoring lines?

Cogs, Penner, Winnik, etc is solid veteran presence..

It will be a really fun team to watch.. that Ryan trade was a complete steal for them.

agreed. JVR was my favorite flyer when he made the roster and it still hurts me today with how well he plays for Toronto. Has a long bright future a head of him too. He would have been great to have with giroux or schenn currently.

I dont know if JVR would have blossomed here like he has in Toronto...Its shows alot of the flaws in scouting by Lavy's coaching staff, that JVR was primarily regulated to a 3rd line role for a bulk of his time here....It always felt he was on the outside looking in, while the team has done everything to try to make us love the Schenn's....

He has personal things going on and for some reason gets his relief by coming on here and venting it out on others. However, I do agree I do hate that word and as a person with family memebers who are mentally handicapped would rather not see it.

These owners seem to fall in love with their GM's and have to give them every chance before making a move. Wang also figure he needs to control the GM since the team is making very little on Long Island. Hopefully Brooklyn changes all that.

ahhh I thought you were taking about John Carlsson and had the wrong team.....

And i doubt we are going to trade our first rd pick this year when draft is in philly. I just can't get a read on what we are trying to pull off this trade deadline, or if anything is needed that can actually help us in the future. Especially with how tight this metropolitan division is turning out to be for a playoff spot. Doubt the organization or fans can take back to back years missing playoffs

I think Philly need to stop trading for, or trying to buy a playoff team and take their lickings for the next few years. They've got a good core, an elite superstar, blue chip prospects...I think Philly's problem ever since Pronger got hurt was that they still think they can play old school bully hockey, but they don't have the defense or golatending to play like that. If they were to draft a few young D and maybe get a new coach that can swing them towards a little more conservative hockey, they can easily be the top team in the east again.

Mabe Vanek is just soo in love with Minn? If Vanek had such love for Minn, I doubt I would have even made the trade. I also would not have made the trade if I was just going to let the team fall part in November without trying to right the Ship.
