He's averaged 17 goals/ season over his career. - burn
Sweet, I'm sure Johanathen Cheechoo has a nice average too. Maybe we should pick him up |

Was it that great, though? It was maybe the best of these games, but it's been a mediocre crop.
Canada-US was the best collection of talent in the tournament. I much preferred Vancouver. - Leeman4Gilmour
It was great. I agree with you about the style of hockey though. The ice looks funny with no trapezoid and the refs lol |

To me Big ice is boring as hell hockey to watch. The teams that don't match up fire power wise just line up 5 behind their blue line all game.
Lou Armadillo hockey all over again
I take that back, not necessarily boring. Just not as much great offensive plays as I was hoping for. Still some great games like Can/USA. |

3 must signs this offseason:

That is a 3rd line of epic proportions. |

Sure OK, lets compare a guy that has basically played on the 3rd line his career to a guy who played with the best playmaker at the time.
There's nothing wrong with keeping Kulemin. Unless you can find someone who can do what he does/better than he does for the cost/less than he cost. I don't think you'll be able to. |

It really doesn't open up the space you think it will. The added width means nothing because of the shrunken offensive zone.
The neutral zone is absolutely massive. That's part of the problem. The other is that it encourages more of an "East/West" game. |

Well finding someone to match his 6-10 goals a year shouldn't be tough. Finding someone who isn't scared of getting hit shouldn't be too tough either.

Does speed really make all that much difference?
If anything, the larger ice allows for a zone-type defense instead of man-to-man. Players are so far out from the net at the boards that they aren't a threat out there. |

I agree, I totally thought the bigger ice would allow skill to fly in this tournament so I had high expectations
Oh well. As long as we win, I don't care if we play on an airport runway |

Kuli isn't on the roster to score goals.
And I can't remember seeing him be on the wrong end of hits...guy is built like a poop brick house. Pay him 3-3.5 per and move on. |

I get the feeling Kulemin is another one of those Chad Kilger players. Many leaf fans love him but nobody can really understand why
"oh he works sooooooo hard"
Yeah ok. Always showing up a second too late to actually hit someone. Never getting to the puck first cause he might get hit and shying away from a pass when he hears footsteps.
Kulemin - Sheppy99
Not even close, but thanks for coming out. |

You're so wrong on this one that it's not even close bud.
Brining up his offensive production is completely irrelevant - the guy plays 3rd line minutes and is responsible for shutting down other teams best lines every night. Any offensive production from him would be a bonus. And in terms of him being afraid of contact - well that's more subjective I guess...but I've watched every game religiously since he's been a Leaf....and the last thing he's afraid of is contact imo. |

All he does is run around like a chicken with his head cut off trying to look like he's doing something. Always late to the puck carrier so he doesn't have to hit him.
Anyone who's played hockey their entire life I've spoken too says the same about him.
But whatever, everyone is entitled to an opinion.
