I had a dream that Komorov was back playing with the Leafs. Or was it a dream from the past when he played with the Leafs b4? Hmmmm dunno.

With Finland's boring defensive style I think 2-0 is probably game over, even this early.

Has Jvr ever scored with his little trick he does when he's beside the net?

He does it a lot and I don't think I've seen him score with it

Who wouldn't leave for the money though? It's not like it was a small amount either. Wasn't it like $3M vs $1M? Huge difference.

He did, but he also had a bigger role and more ice time in the KHL. He made 2 million in the KHL and was offered about 1.3 million. Can't blame the guy....closer to home and more money.

Some kids have worked hard, but he's still better than they would be at the role we're talking about which is 3rd/4th line. Plus he would be replacing the role of an Orr or McLaren more than he would be taking a spot from any kids.

There are only a handful of guys in the league who can do what Komarov does though. Non of the younger guys in their system play like he does. I'd take him at $3M if the Leafs had cap room. Seems expensive but look at Clarkson lol.

That all depends on the role. We don't have many kids that plays Komarovs style of game, and effectively. Besides, you're assuming he takes a kids spot over a guy like Orr or Kulemin (if we can't resign him to a fair deal).

Basically the bottom line is if the Leafs sign Kule, Komo will not return as a Leaf. If Kule gets traded or leaves as a UFA, Komo probably will be a Leaf again. He does want to return to the NHL, his 1st choice is TO but if not TO than for sure another NHL team. I'd hate him to wind up on the Habs, Sens or Bruins

There's some irony in hearing that Sweden, which threw a game at '06 Olympics, is now questioning integrity of officials

If we can't re-sign Kule, I'll play Komo in Kule's 3rd line role for next season over whoever else they have in the organization on the roster & iwith the Marlies.

I agree if we can fit it in the cap I like these lines

kessel bozie jvr
lups kadri Clarkson
? bolland Kulemin
Komarov mcclement bodie

I would be okay for Holland to replace kadri or bolland if it brought in a solid top 4 defensive defensman

So you would rather have on the 3rd line, Orr? McLaren? Guys in the Marlies who will not be as effective?

Holland did amazing when he centered the 2nd line with Raymond & Lupul. Not that this would likely happen but if Florida offered Gudbranson for Kadri & mabie something else like a pick or someone on the Marlies, if I were Nonis I would do it. I would only trade Kadri if it brought a young d man in return. Not an older veteran.

Komarov would be a solid addition again to the 4th line, he isn't a tenth of the player Kulemin is and that weakens the 3rd line, he can score in inconsistent bunches in the KHL sure, but he is an offense sink in the NHL.

If Kulemin is outbidded and leaves, we better hope we have either another Raymond kind of steal ready or...actually not sure who fills in that role, I mean, D'Amigo plays a similar game without the physicality, but he's also not as close to as good at this point if ever.
